Everything we know about Logic's upcoming ninth studio album

Logic's Ultra 85 will serve as the follow-up album to 2023's College Park, whose theme and story will pick up from where his 2017 album, Everybody, left off. During the 2017 promotion of Everybody, the rapper also released a limited edition 44-page booklet with a hidden code fans had to decipher.

"For the real fans reading this hidden message my next album will be called Ultra 85, and it will be the conclusion to this saga," the deciphered message read.

Similarly, during the official album rollout for Ultra 85, Bobby created a website titled "Babel" back in January, which hosted over 30 pieces of original content, from BTS footage to hidden songs that would be included in his upcoming album.

Fans had to navigate over 85 folders to find these documents, before eventually receiving the trailer for the LP's lead single as well as the official artwork for the album in a password-protected folder.

Sam Spratt, the designer of Ultra 85's artwork, took to Twitter to issue a statement regarding his work with Logic and the rapper's plans for the future. As per Spratt, this LP will be Bobby's last commercial album as he's planned to take off "the rap hat" and instead transition into a musical producer heading the composition and instrumentation for Sam's "story of Luci" project.

"Our covers together were extremely formative for me. Not only did they help support me at various stages of my time as an artist, let me save, build, and connect to others through them...This is goodbye to a character for both of us. A hopeful goodbye to one form and a pursuit of another." - Sam Spratt tweeted on January 16, 2024.

Bobby uploaded the single Fear and an accompanying video to all major DSPs on February 2, 2024. Andy Hines directed the music video, which featured drag queen Tajh Jordan. The song and visuals highlighted themes of inclusivity and gender diversity, amongst several others, with the video garnering close to a million views since its release.

Since then, Logic has released two more singles, 44ever and Deja Vu, over the past couple of months, building up the anticipation for his ninth studio album by giving fans a taste of the electric production and heartfelt lyricism the LP will deliver this August.

Interested fans can visit Logic's Babel website (atm301.com) and go through all the folders for sneak peeks and easter eggs for Ultra 85, with some pictures dating back to his early days as a rapper. The password for the final folder is the album's title.
