The American electronic music group, Louis The Child, is back in the studio with a new album called - The Sun Comes Up. The music group's sophomore studio album is set for a global release on all platforms next month, September 20.
The duo of Robby Hauldren and Frederic J. Kennett added to the excitement of the album with the release of the first single, Make You Mine. It was released alongside a visualizer music video last week, on August 23.
Make You Mine has been co-created with the music group's longtime collaborator, Whethan. Hayley May is also featured on the song and supports the rhythmic music with her soulful vocals.
Louis The Child spoke to EDMNOMAD at the head of Make You Mine's release on August 23, and shared their experiences about the collaborations:
“We’ve known Whethan for almost 10 years now and came up around the same time in Chicago... Getting to release another song with him is really special.”
Speaking about Hayley, the duo continued:
“Hayley’s voice was like magic. It was our first time working with her, and she just has this crazy range and soul to her voice.”
All you need to know about Louis The Child's Make You Mine single and The Sun Comes Up album
Make You Mine is similar to other releases from Louis The Child, and offers a feel-good song that delves deeper into the feels of summer love and romance. It is a fusion of catchy lyrics and pulsating beats while delivering a freshly addictive musical with verses like:
"I want your love all for myself / When I'm with you, there's nothing else / I'd hold you tight, oh / If you were mine, oh / Let me make you / Make you mine."
The long-anticipated single and album came after a wait of over four years since the music duo released their debut album, Here for Now, in 2020. Although they continued to release EPs and singles, Louis The Child had kept away from full-length projects.

The 13-track album also draws guest appearances and features from 1996Montana, NJOMZA, Drew Love, Absolutely, and MEMBA. Apart from the previously released track - Make You Mine - it also comprises songs like Cloud Monsters, Tip Toe, Wonderful, and more.
