On October 26, Sean “Diddy” Combs’ three sons, Quincy Brown, Justin Combs, and Christian Combs, made headlines after they got into an altercation with R&B singer, songwriter, and actor Ray J after a Halloween party in Los Angeles.
In the wake of this now-viral report, Ray J joined Wack 100 during the latter’s live Zoom conference call on Tuesday, October 29, and confirmed the news, saying he was “rushed” by eight men after getting into a fight with Diddy’s adult sons. The Raydemption rapper also stated that Chris Brown was present when the altercation happened, and helped him out of the situation.
“I just tried to talk some sense into what happened… Luckily the homie Chris was here,” said Ray J.
Further, when Wack 100 asked whether he could put out “all the other stuff” that he’d been hearing, the Love & Hip-Hop: Hollywood star urged him not to do so, as Diddy’s sons were “too young,” and admitted he “moved away” before the situation got out of hands.
However, Wack 100 appeared to be disturbed by Ray J’s revelation. He not only refused to oblige but also explained how it was “already online,” as the call was part of a live stream. Later, he also issued a warning to Quincy, Justin, and Christian, saying, “It’s on. If we run into you, act like it’s 1995.”
Exploring further what happened between Diddy’s sons and Ray J
Sean Combs’ three sons, Quincy Brown - 33, Justin Combs - 30, and Christian Combs - 26, attended Unruly Agency CEO Tara Electra’s 2024 Halloween Party in LA on Saturday, October 26, along with several other music industry celebrities, including Ray J and Chris Brown.
While the party had a “fun environment,” as per Page Six reports, an altercation broke out between Combs' kids and Ray J in the parking lot. Reportedly, the latter was “jumped” by the former’s crew in the presence of his manager David Weintraub, and rumored girlfriend and model Amber Rose.
According to an insider source’s claim to the outlet, Diddy’s sons began “talking sh*t” to the Black Sash actor after the party ended, while the latter was trying to “ignore” it. Later, they even surrounded Ray, as they allegedly got in one another’s faces and tried to chest-bump each other. However, Chris Brown saw the altercation and intervened alongside Weintraub, before things could turn violent.
Reportedly, the Combs brothers approached the Soul Train alum for his latest remarks about their father, and it wasn’t the first time they did so, as they had tried fighting Ray on three separate occasions.
“Ray J is always going to stand his ground on what he says, but he has never said anything negative about Diddy’s situation,” the source told Page Six.
Sean Combs is currently in the Metropolitan Detention Center, Brooklyn, where he is being held on multiple federal charges, including racketeering conspiracy, s*x trafficking by force, fraud, or coercion, and transportation to engage in prostitution. So far, he has been denied bail multiple times, despite pleading not guilty. His trial is scheduled to begin on May 5, 2025.
Earlier this month, Diddy’s three sons, along with his daughters Chance Combs, 18, and twins Jessie and D’Lila, 17, released a joint statement on Instagram with a family picture, writing in the caption:
“The past month has devastated our family. Many have judged both him and us based on accusations, conspiracy theories, and false narratives that have spiraled into absurdity on social media. We stand united, supporting you every step of the way. We hold onto the truth, knowing it will prevail, and nothing will break the strength of our family. WE MISS YOU & LOVE YOU, DAD.”
Ray J’s latest comments about Diddy’s current situation
In September 2024, Ray J sat down with NewsNation anchor Brian Entin and shared how many other celebrities would be “exposed” amid the ongoing Diddy scandal.
“I’ve been around long enough to know that when there’s smoke, you always find fire. I think that with the market in our world being so cornered and you have this crew of people at the top who make all the decisions, it’s like a house of cards. When one falls, the whole deck comes down,” the rapper mentioned.
He further added that the world would see several A-listers and other “people in power” either be exposed or step down when they get intertwined in the Diddy case.
“I think that’s just where we are in this game. I think a lot of people have a very long success story at times and then sometimes that fall is harder. You can’t kick everybody down, everybody is innocent until proven guilty,” Ray J shared.
Before that, in April, Ray J made similar claims while talking to TMZ about Diddy’s rising accusations and lawsuits. It came right after the feds raided Combs’ Miami and Los Angeles homes, as part of the Homeland Security Investigation into trafficking allegations. He has also made other public remarks and videos criticizing the Bad Boy Records founder over the last few months.
