Marking the end of Travis Scott's highly lucrative and commercial "Utopia Era," the rapper confirmed that his live performance at the MetLife Stadium stage, in New Jersey, would be Utopia's final concert in the United States.

Travis Scott's Utopia was first delivered to fans on July 28, 2023, via Cactus Jack Records, under an exclusive license to Epic Records and Sony Music Entertainment. The rapper's fourth studio album has since topped the Billboard 200 charts and reportedly sold nearly 500,000 album-equivalent units in its first week.

"I want to see the rage tonight"—Travis Scott addresses the crowd at “One Night Only in Utopia” concert

A known fan of Kanye West's "school of showmanship," as cited by Billboard, the 33-year-old Houston rapper's concerts are always a unique experience. With credit to Travis Scott's energetic stage presence, some shows reportedly even resulted in minor earthquakes due to fans raging to anthems like FE!N.

The rapper even addressed the crowd during his live performance at the MetLife Stadium, admitting that although many didn't believe in his ability to sell out stadium shows, he's always been "dreaming" of this moment.

"I dreamed about this actual moment right here for a very long time. I want to see this tonight. I want to see the rage tonight," Travis Scott stated.

As an artist who continues to redefine what it means to be a live performer, Travis Scott's MetLife “One Night Only in Utopia” concert delivered an extremely memorable night of fireworks, exciting visuals, and plenty of rage-fueled moments. Check out some of the top highlights from La Flame's New Jersey concert below.

1) Scott apologizes for delaying the MetLife Stadium concert in 2023

Travis Scott was supposedly set to perform his Utopia setlist at MetLife Stadium last year, around the time the LP officially dropped to streaming platforms. As per reports regarding the concert, the event fell through because of "bad weather conditions".

The rapper spoke out to the massive crowd gathered in MetLife Stadium, thanking his fans for showing up for the concert when he stated:

"I told myself that I wanted to do this last year, but they said it was cold and s**t. I didn’t give a f**k, but whatever. I told myself I wasn’t gonna give up on the opportunity to come back and be able to do MetLife Stadium, and a lot of people thought I was crazy. But one thing I do know, I got the realest motherf**king fans of all-time."

2) Travis calls out the VIP section

Halfway through the concert, Travis Scott addressed attendees who were watching the concert from their VIP highrise. Although it's unclear what transpired for the rapper to suddenly call out his VIP guests, La Flame's amped energy did less to stop him from stating:

"I f**king hate VIP. There’s no VIP at Travis Scott shows"

3) Playboi Carti's special appearance

Travis dominated MetLife Stadium with multiple performances of his massive hit FE!N. Unlike his New York and Milan shows where the record was performed 10 times, Scott performed his viral rage anthem only seven times.

Throughout his set, fans could be seen chanting for a Playboi Carti appearance, given that rumors had surfaced a day before the concert suggesting that King Vamp could make an appearance.

This was finally confirmed during the fifth consecutive performance of FE!N when Carti suddenly appeared alongside Trav on stage. The moment seemingly had fans and attendees in an electric frenzy as the song's hook boomed across the stadium and fireworks lit up the sky.

4) Future joins Playboi Carti and Travis Scott on stage

Immediately after Carti and Travis finished performing FE!N, fans were gifted with another surprise appearance when Future took to the stage to perform Type Sh*t, alongside La Flame and Vamp.

The record, featuring Travis and Playboi Carti, was dropped as part of the tracklist for Future and Metro Boomin's first collaborative album We Don't Trust You, which was released to streaming platforms in March.

The track performed extremely well and even went on to peak at No.2 on Billboard's Hot 100 charts. Future taking the stage at MetLife Stadium mirrored Travis' guest appearance at the "We Trust You Tour," which found Pluto and Metro Boomin performing across major cities in the United States.

Other notable moments from Travis Scott's MetLife Stadium concert include him shouting out his parents, who were in attendance, and dedicating 2015's Apple Pie performance to them.
