On September 3, 2024, The Pop Flop mentioned in a tweet that rapper Ice Spice had lost 540k followers on Instagram in the last 12 days. As of the date of the tweet, the Deli rapper lost 8000 followers.

Additionally, according to All Hip Hop, Ice Spice's music following also witnessed a decline as she lost millions of followers on the streaming platform Spotify, amounting to approximately 39 million monthly listeners over the duration of a year.

It has been reported that the decline in the rapper's Spotify followers might be due to the streaming platform removing bots. However, some assume it is owing to the recent controversy surrounding Ice Spice and her former friend Cleotrapa, and the reduction in her popularity, that has caused a massive loss of followers for the rapper.

Internet users quickly reacted to the reduction in the Barbie World rapper's follower counts and expressed their opinions. An X user commented on the reduction in the rapper's followers by comparing it to the number of people who buy her album :

"We can officially welcome her to her flop era. Career d3ad. Wrap it up!" an X user suggested.
"I even followed her to unfollow to add to this" another X user stated.

Additionally, an internet user commented on replacing the Did It First rapper with Cleotrapa, referring to the drama between the two. Cleo posted a series of TikTok videos accusing Ice Spice of mistreating her on tour, and the rapper replied to the same by calling her out on the basis of not having many listeners:

"Lets replace her with cleotrapa! Her music is better anyways!" the X user stated.
"listening to Bikini Bottom one last time" another internet user took a dig at the rapper by mentioning her song

"You never came to me talking about a chicken salad": Ice Spice addresses Cleo's allegations against her

Cleotrapa posted multiple TikTok videos on September 2, 2024, alleging Ice Spice did not pay her for touring along on the Y2K tour concerts and lied about having a limited budget. In response, the rapper took to X Spaces on September 3, 2024, to set the record straight.

She addressed Cleo by questioning how she was wrong, when all she did was share the stage with Cleotrapa, even though she wasn't obliged to do it. Taunting Cleotrapa on having less than 10,000 listeners, Ice Spice said that she shared her stage with Cleo and that the latter became entitled thinking the rapper's crew works for her as well, dubbing the allegations "crazy".

Specifically addressing Cleotrapa's allegation on the rapper's team refusing to pay for her to have a chicken salad, the No Clarity rapper mentioned on X Spaces:

"So for you to try to sit here and complain about a chicken salad? You never came to me talking about a chicken salad, what are you really talking about right now.... you not going to tell the people how we was at an Italian restaurant and you ate so much f*****g food, you f*****g vacuum, that the server was like, ‘Where did the food go?’”

In other news, Ice Spiced dispelled rumors that her weight loss had anything to do with Ozempic during a session on X Spaces on August 19, 2024. Commenting on the same, the rapper questioned "what even is Ozempic," telling fans she genuinely doesn't know about the FDA-approved Type 2 diabetes drug, that's reportedly often misused for weight loss.

Additionally, the rapper posted a workout video on Instagram on August 30, 2024, with the caption "we beatin them allegations bae," suggesting that she got into shape via physical exercises.
