Tiffany Red recalled her friend Cassie Ventura's miserable relationship with Diddy

Cassie Ventura's friend and songwriter Tiffany Red made some harrowing revelations about Diddy during the aforementioned Secret Life of Diddy — A Special Edition of 20/20, which aired on ABC on Wednesday. The GRAMMY-winning producer and songwriter recalled the first time she thought that something was definitely "wrong" with Sean Combs and Cassie Ventura's relationship.

One night in 2015, the songwriter heard Sean Combs, also known as Puffy or Puff Daddy, yell at Cassie when she put him on speakerphone. Red could hear Puffy asking Cassie if someone was in the car with her and later telling her that he knew that she was with someone in the car. She told ABC:

"That was my first time being, like, ‘Something is wrong.’"

The very same year in August, Tiffany even allegedly witnessed Diddy yell at Cassie during her 29th birthday. As per the songwriter, the hip-hop mogul and his security cornered Cassie in a room, got right "in her face" and started "cussing her out". Tiffany recalled:

"He was really mad, he was really close to her face and she just had her head down."

According to the songwriter, Cassie was a sweet, quiet, and "good person", who was introduced to the world by Puff Daddy. Tiffany also recalled the moment, she herself felt intimidated by Diddy, as if he did not want her around Cassie. She recalled the hip-hop mogul asking her:

"You’re the one writing all these songs about me?"

Tiffany Red had previously opened up about her experiences with Cassie and Diddy back in December of last year, a month after Cassie's bombshell lawsuit against the hip-hop mogul which eventually became the first of many. Only 24 hours after filing the suit, the former couple settled the suit out of court for an undisclosed sum.

During an appearence on NBC's Top Story with Tom Llamas on December 2023, Tiffany Red said that the lawsuit against the hip-hop mogul was all about "accountability and a reckoning". The songwriter even talked about the aforementioned 2015 speakerphone conversation in detail. She said:

"I remember him [Diddy] calling her like over and over and over and I was in the car with her … and then she finally answered the phone. … It was on speakerphone and that was the first time I ever heard him screaming."

She added:

"He just was like, ‘B----, what are you doing?’ She kept like hanging up because he was screaming, and he was like, ‘Ah, don’t you hang up on me!’ And he kept threatening to take her car,"

Tiffany also told NBC about Puffy's infamous freak-offs that Cassie had described to her. As per Red, the hip-hop mogul would allegedly hire s*x workers and order Cassie to engage in intercourse with them while telling them what to do. Red detailed that Cassie was nervous about the whole ordeal and would tell Puffy she didn't want to do it as she was sick.

Tiffany further detailed that Diddy yelled at Cassie on her 29th birthday for refusing to engage in a freak-off. She also recalled Cassie telling her that the only time Puffy would work on her music was when she engaged in a freak-off. Tiffany Red told NBC:

"To find out that like I spent all these years writing these songs for him to r**e my friend to is just disgusting to think about,"

Red further remembered Cassie telling her that she had a black eye courtesy of Diddy right before the premiere of her 2016 film The Perfect Match.

Tiffany Red has written plenty of songs for Cassie Ventura including her 2016 track Joint (No Sleep) and 2019's Simple Things. Some of her other famous collaborators include the likes of Jennifer Hudson and Zendaya.
