In the court documents obtained by publications like Page Six and PEOPLE, Jennifer Lopez listed the date of separation from Ben Affleck as April 26, 2024. The All I Have singer has waived her right to spousal support and has requested the judge to deny Ben Affleck's support as well.
According to the Daily Mail on August 23, 2024, an unnamed source alleged that JLo was "tired of being humiliated by Ben" and that she waited to file the divorce till their two-year anniversary "because she wanted it to sting."
The court documents also reveal that the singer is seeking to separate her property, including assets and debts, from Affleck's. The documents state:
"The exact nature and extent of separate property assets and obligations are unknown to Petitioner at this time. Petitioner reserves the right to amend this Petition when same is ascertained."
