Bruno Mars' latest collaborations with Rose and Lady Gaga explored
Bruno Mars delivered two hits while collaborating with Lady Gaga and BLACKPINK star Rose in 2024. In August 2024, Mars and Lady Gaga joined hands for the track Die With A Smile, released through Interscope Records. The song was initially considered a single but was later revealed to be a part of Gaga's upcoming eighth studio album.
Die With A Smile received nominations in the categories of Song of the Year and Best Pop Duo/Group Performance in the upcoming 67th Grammy Awards. The song topped the Billboard 200 charts for eight weeks. The song also topped the Billboard Hot 100 for three consecutive weeks.
It was Lady Gaga's sixth song to hit the number one spot on the Billboard Hot 100 while for Bruno Mars it was his ninth track to achieve the feat. According to Billboard, Die With A Smile recorded a total of 62 million radio airplay audience impressions and 29 million official streams.
Another big success for Bruno Mars came with APT - his collaboration track with Rose. Released on October 18, 2024, via The Black Label and Atlantic Records, APT was promoted as the lead single on Rose's debut studio album, Rosie. It also marked Rose's first single in three years after leaving Interscope Records and YG Entertainment in 2023.
The song was a major success and spent eleven weeks on the Billboard Global 200 chart. It was the longest-running number-one song of 2024 and became Rose and Bruno Mars' second number-one single. It was also the first Western song to top the Billboard Japan Hot 100 in over a decade.
