Kanye West released his new album, Vultures 2 on August 3, 2024. Composed by West, the album was made in collaboration with Ty Dolla $ign and is a sequel to Vultures 1. The duo has also collaborated with many other artists like Lil Wayne, Playboi Carti, Kodak Black, Young Thug, Future, 070 SHake, and CyHi for the tracks.
The album includes 16 tracks, a few of which take a dig at many personalities and companies like Adidas, Drake, and even Kanye’s ex-wife, Kim Kardashian. In On My Soul, Kanye disses Adidas, as he says,
“We mass targeted, mass marketed, mass incarceration/ Mass in police stations, mass incorporated, f*ck Adidas.”
In 530, he aims at Drake as he raps,
“You a fake b*tch, you don’t really love Ye b*tch, go listen to Drake b*tch.”
Other tracks in the album are Slide, Time Moving Slow, Field Trip, Isabella, Forever, Bomb, River, Forever Rolling, My Soul, and Sky City.
“You know that’s where they at, Beverly Hills” — Kanye West takes a dig at ex-wife Kim Kardashian in song, “Husband”
As Vultures 2 dropped as a surprise, West dissed Drake and Adidas. He also took a dig at his ex-wife, Kim Kardashian, in Husband. The track had the following verse,
“Neighbors know this sh*t get out of hand, but they smile. ‘Cause you been so long without a man. You know that’s where they at, Beverly Hills. You know that’s where they at. I don’t really wanna go back to that. If I do, I know I’m goin’ back to back/ Breakin’ backs and bags, imagine that.”
This is not the first that Ye has dissed Drake or Adidas, as after Carnival, from Vultures 1, topped many charts, he posted on Instagram,
“Rich Ty Carti and the supporters that stood by us through everything This number #1 is for you. It’s for the people who won’t be manipulated by the system. And f*ck Adidas and everybody who works there or with them. Anyone who goes to school with anyone whose parents work at Adidas. Just know they tried to destroy me and here we are with the number 1 song in the world.”
Continuing his rant, he said,
“Like the fake dude I saw in the lobby at the Ritz that works at Goat You p*ssys don’t stand for sh*t. And f*ck everybody at the Dailey Mail. And F*ck everybody at the fashion houses that sided with Gabby and Hailey Bieber F*ck each and every single one of yall And f*ck every so-called Christian and so-called friend or so-called family member that watched me have my kids taken out of my control.”
In his now-deleted post, he also dissed Drake and stated,
“That’s how I feel And it’s f*ck Drake for taking Durk right at the beginning of the Vultures role. Out I’ll come back to yall if I think of more f*ck you’s.”
Many tracks from Vultures 2 have already topped the charts. The tracks are also garnering millions of views on YouTube and other social media platforms.
