Law & Crimes leaked the surveillance footage of a private jail call between Young Thug and Leena Sayed on December 23.
The call, dated July 29, 2022, has sparked netizens' sympathy for Thug's girlfriend, Mariah The Scientist, who has been with the rapper since 2021. Leena is rumored to have wedded boxer Devin Haney in 2023 and is supposedly carrying his child.
The leaked jail conversation, for the most part, seemingly revolved around Thug trying to convince Leena to move on from him. Although the depth and duration of their supposed relationship were unclear from the call, fans were outraged at the rapper’s purported infidelity toward Mariah The Scientist.

Mariah and Thug first met in March 2021 when she reached out to him for a collaboration. They started their romance in October that year. Mariah was by Thug's side at the time of his arrest in May 2022. She also attended the rapper's court hearings and is known to stand as his pillar of support.
Thug was also captured showing his support for the singer as he donned an "I ❤️ Mariah" sweatshirt in court. Despite their romance being looked up to by many, fans are now disappointed to find out Thug might have cheated on Mariah with Leena back in 2022.
Some felt bad for Mariah The Scientist, noting she helped Young Thug keep in touch with his children during his YSL Rico trial. They said the singer deserves better.
Some wondered how incarceration could not stop the rapper from purported cheating. A few others pointed out the unfortunate timing, as Christmas is just a day away. Several people suggested Thug appeared uninterested in the conversation.
Young Thug and Leena Sayed respond after leaked jail call surfaces online
During the jail cell call between Young Thug and Leena Sayed, she told the rapper she wanted him out of prison and with her. Thug then goes on to compliment her randomly, telling her she is "really beautiful" and a "good soul."
He can be heard trying to convince Leena to find someone else and move on from him, which causes the Instagram model to break down in tears. When the rapper tells her he doesn't want to be a burden, Leena asserts she does not like anyone else and only wants him. Thug also appears to wipe his eyes and cheek; however, netizens pointed out there were no tears, and the rapper was likely faking it.
Though Leena can be heard declaring her love for Young Thug at one point, claiming everyone is aware of her feelings, the rapper does not say the words back. When she asks him if he misses her, Thug only nods. The call eventually ends before Leena urges Young Thug to call her again.
Both Young Thug and Leena Sayed addressed the leaked call. Leena posted on her Instagram Stories:
"That video was before I met my bd...I would never talk to thug or any other man."
Young Thug, on the other hand, took to X on December 24, insinuating the conversation was about something unrelated to romance.
"I don’t know y she spoke on loving other people or anything else cause ain giving no f**k bout no ho*s or n***as I’m the capital P lol that’s my twin and nothing else. Never have never will lol."
Neither Mariah The Scientist nor Devin Haney has addressed the leaked jail exchange yet.
