On August 13, 2024, Hamburg's Panoptikum Museum displayed two new wax figures of singers Taylor Swift and Ed Sheeran. In a German press release, the museum's managing director, Dr. Susanne Faerber, shared her enthusiasm in welcoming the two new additions to her museum.

"With the wax figure of Taylor Swift, we are welcoming an absolute superstar to the Panoptikum. August 13 is therefore a truly lucky day for our wax museum—although the number 13 is also of great importance to Taylor Swift herself and to her countless Swifties," she said.

The wax figures, crafted by sculptor Lisa Büscher, saw Swift in a blue sequinned dress and her signature blond bangs, with her hands forming a heart. On the other hand, Sheeran was dressed in a black T-shirt, holding a guitar over his left shoulder.

According to The Express Tribune, Büscher and her team spent two years working on the sculptures for the Panoptikum, the oldest wax museum in Germany.

The sculptures drew mixed reactions from people on social media, with many complaining that the singers' features didn't fully translate into the models. One person tweeted:

Many agreed with this sentiment, adding the wax figures looked very off.

"They look so off im crying," one person tweeted.
"Omg?? What did they do to them lmao," another person added.
"They look like Taylor and ED if they were taxidermy versions," someone else commented.
"These are pretty scary, ngl," another netizen said.

However, others commended the sculptor for capturing their likeness in wax form.

Extra precautions are being taken to tighten security following the terror threat, with new set timings announced. According to Billboard, Taylor Swift pushed up the entry times, with early entry starting at 3.30 pm and general admissions at 4 pm local time. Swift is also expected to take to the stage earlier than her usual 7.25 pm schedule.

Wembley Stadium also warned against non-ticket holders gathering around the stadium to listen to the concert, a practice that has become a norm in many of Swift's shows.

“To support with the safe entry and exit of everyone within the stadium, no one is allowed to stand outside any entrance or on the Olympic Steps at the front of the stadium. Non ticket holders will be moved on,” the venue said in a statement.

On August 7, a 19-year-old teenager named Beran A was arrested in connection to the planned terror attack on Taylor Swift's concert in Vienna, scheduled from August 8 to 10 at the Ernst-Happel Stadium. The teen, who was reportedly radicalized online by ISIS, planned to attack fans gathered outside the venue using knives and incendiary devices.
