Ice Spice's weight loss has been a topic of debate among her fans for a long time now. Conversations about her apparent weight loss began to trickle in after her performance at the BET Awards on June 30 this year, and fans haven't stopped talking about it since.
Netizens were divided in their opinion about the topic. While some welcomed the slimmer physique of Ice Spice, others preferred her old self. Many people also speculated that Ice Spice was on a popular diabetic drug called Ozempic that reportedly helps in quick weight loss.
However, Ice Spice has denied using any medication, saying that the weight loss happened because she hit the gym. The 24-year-old joined X Spaces and set the record straight on August 20.
“What even is Ozempic? You lazy a** b*tches never heard of a gym?” commented the Bronx rapper.
Many fans on social media have voiced their opinion about her comments and weight loss routine.
"she ended all the allegations," said another.
"but shes right though why would a 20 year old perfectly healthy girl take ozempic, she can just go to a gym pls," argued one person on X.
Another netizen agreed that the rapper's age makes it conducive for her to lose weight without the use of drugs. They commented:
"Considering her age it is easy for her to lose weight without the use of ozempic."
"her dramatic weight lost happened before the tour," noted another.
"i don’t know why evb and they mom so concerned abt her body weight anyways like," commented another.
Ice Spice will headline the Annual Rhythm and Vines music festival
Bronx rapper Ice Spice will put on a headlining show to bring in the New Year at the Rhythm and Vines festival in Gisborne. The four-day celebration will also feature performances from international icons like UK garage and house producer Sammy Virji, Italian electronic group Meduza, Koven, and RL Grime.
Among the local celebrities, the music festival will host performances by Sir Dave Dobbyn and Sachi, a debut performance from Corrella, and a performance by Messie.
The Rhythm and Vines music festival will kick off on December 29, 2024, and will continue until the morning of January 1, 2025. However, the gates of Waiohika Estate will open a day before to accommodate the campers.
Last year, there was a controversy during the festival when the police caught too many drunk drivers leaving the premises, allegedly putting other's lives at risk. However, the cops stationed inside the boundaries made no arrests during the festival.
