Singer and actor Tyrese Gibson attended the Rams vs. Dallas Cowboys match at the SoFi Stadium on August 11, 2024. The football game was broadcast live on KABC-7 and ESPN LA, ending with the Rams winning the match by a score of 13-12.

However, it was the Four Brothers star's appearance at the match that grabbed a lot of attention on social media, and it was specifically his new beard that people commented on. The singer's look at the football game was completely different from what fans were used to over the years.

Some fans noted that Tyrese Gibson seemed to have changed his beard style, and many praised the new look as others made fun of the singer. Several netizens claimed that Gibson was "channeling Marvin Gaye and Kirk Franklin" with the new look.

Tyrese Gibson hadn't addressed his look or people's comments about it at the time of writing this article.

The Fast & Furious 7 star was performing the US national anthem, which was all recorded and went viral on social media after it was shared. The Shade Room posted a video on Instagram and revealed that, apart from his beard, the singer's hair was also reportedly fake. According to the post, Gibson also took a short break to speak to the audience and told them to "make some noise."

"If you love your country, make some noise right now."

Netizens took to Instagram to comment on The Shade Room's post to react to Gibson's beard, with many making fun of it.

"Alexa play "What's going on?" By Marvin Gaye," one person wrote.

Another person noted while Tyrese "can really sing," they hated the beard, and some claimed that he needed to "take it off."

Tyrese Gibson shares an update about the upcoming installment of Fast & Furious

The 45-year-old has accumulated a huge fanbase over the years for his performance as Roman Pearce in Fast & Furious films. The character became one of the leads starting with Fast Five in 2011, and his dialogues specifically gained recognition.

Fans are eagerly waiting for more updates on the eleventh film, and during an appearance on the Happy Sad Podcast, on June 30, 2024, Gibson spoke about it. He said that he has yet to read the script, adding that he has spoken to the director and was "constantly in touch with Vin Diesel," both of whom "do really well" at keeping the "franchise afloat." He also noted that the moment he got a call from either of them, he was "going to show up" to do his job.

"The moment that I get the call, I'm going to show up and try and do my job and hope that they're still happy with what I bring to the table," Gibson said.

In another interview with CBR in April 2024, Tyrese Gibson said that the SAG-AFTRA strikes of 2023 led to the film being delayed until 2025.

"I'm hearing that we're going to get it going right in 2025, right at the top of the year. I think right now the pressure is to elevate the movie and take the film to some other levels," he added.

Tyrese Gibson went on to say that the makers are well aware that fans want to see "more of the street racing" instead of the other things that they have attempted in the last few films. Fast X Part 2 will be the final entry in the franchise.
