"All of them died in one summer": Internet reacts as YBC Dul dies a month after fellow rappers LilScoom89 and Bloodhound Lil Jeff

On Friday, August 23, 2024, at around 3:34 pm, Abdul Vicks, a well-known rapper connected to the group Young Bag Chasers, also known as YBC, passed away. On the 5500 block of North 6th Street, a member of the Young Bag Chasers gang was shot.

Vicks’ death came within a month after his fellow rappers of YBC, LilScoom89, and Bloodhound Lil Jeff, were pronounced dead. On Sunday, July 7, Lil Scoom89 was reportedly shot.

On the other hand, Bloodhound Lil Jeff also died on Saturday, June 8. A rumored video purportedly depicting the artist getting shot multiple times led his fans to believe that he was also a victim of gun violence.

Now once the news of Vicks’ death went public, it shocked the netizens. They took to X to express their opinion about the same and most of them pointed out that it’s really shocking how all the three rappers died within “90 days”.

“I just said this. all of them died in one summer”, one X user said.

Other netizens also shared similar sentiments.

“June July n August too bruh”, another one pointed out.
“Sad but the life was chosen”, another one said.
“In less than 90 days”, pointed out another X user.

On the other hand, many X users commented on the title of their collaborative song, LongLiveJefferyDahmer.

“Choice of song title is crazy”, wrote one X user.
“Title of the song is crazy lls. would lead me to believe jeffrey dahmer spirit is what marked them”, commented another one.
"Long live jeffery dahmer”, another X user quoted the title.

All three rappers of YBC died within a short period of each other

Recently, YBC group rapper Abdul Vicks was shot and killed. The shooting occurred on Friday, August 23, in the 5500 block of N. 6th Street. Later, a white Hyundai SUV was detained in connection to the inquiry.

The 25-year-old male victim was shot many times in the hand and chest, according to the police, but they are still investigating the shooting site. After being taken to a nearby hospital, he was declared dead.

The precise cause of the shooting is still unknown. Additionally, no one has been arrested as of yet.

On the other hand, Lil Scoom89, another rapper from the YBC group, passed away, on Monday, July 8, according to a report from Chicago's Channel 3 Now. The rapper, whose real name is Asyrion Hogan, was shot on Sunday night, July 7, at the intersection of East 89th Street and Langley Avenue, according to the police.

Hogan was found on the ground with two gunshot wounds to his chest. After being transported to the University of Chicago Hospital, the rapper passed away. His record company, Signal Records, honored the late musician with an Instagram post.

"It is with great sadness that we share the loss of our artist @_lilscoom89," the caption reads.

The police claimed to have located and apprehended a potential suspect, but he had reportedly escaped.

Bloodhound Lil Jeff, another YBC member, supposedly passed away a month prior to it from gunshot wounds. Initial reports indicate that the gunshot happened in Chicago, Illinois, on the 6600 block of S. Rhodes Avenue, according to Spot News. Bloodhound Lil Jeff was reportedly taken to the hospital but died from his wounds.

Informing the news, Kyle Mazza, the White House Correspondent for National Press, said on X,

"The victim was transported to the hospital where he was pronounced dead. There are no suspects in custody. A large number of shell casings were located at the crime scene.”

Now, once the news of the YBC rappers’ untimely demise spread like wildfire, netizens took to X to express their opinions regarding the entire thing.
