Sabrina Carpenter responded to Adele's comment on her latest song Espresso

After English singer-songwriter Adele sang a few lines of Espresso during her show, the original singer, Sabrina, expressed her joy with it. She reacted both on X and Instagram. During the Las Vegas residency show, Adele said,

"As I got into bed last night - 'cause that's a very late night for me, normally I'm in bed by 9 pm - I found myself singing, 'I'm working late, 'cause I'm a singer.' That Sabrina Carpenter song! 'I can't relate to desperation.' That song is my jam!"

She further explained her disappointment for not being able to sing the song along during its release since she was on a voice rest period then. The young singer expressed her happiness and excitement after this comment from Adele.

Espresso has already been a massive success after its release on April 11, 2024. Sabrina even performed it at the 2024 Coachella Valley Music and Arts Festival to promote the song. It debuted at number six on the UK Singles Chart and has already made it to the top 10 on the Billboard Hot 100 Chart.

This is the second song that Sabrina Carpenter released this year. The first one, You Need Me Now?, released on March 22, 2024, involved Norwegian musician Girl in Red. This song secured number 40 on the US Hot Rock & Alternative Songs chart. Her last studio album was Emails I Can't Send, released on July 15, 2022. This album was also successful, debuting at number 23 on the US Billboard 200.

Fans extended support and praises for the young singer Sabrina

25-year-old Sabrina Carpenter performed her latest release on Saturday Night Live, the same day Adele gave her a shoutout and called Espresso a song she could relate to. Meanwhile, fans praised this gesture of the Hello singer. Many explained that it was amazing that established singers like Adele and Katy Perry acknowledge younger artists.

"I love seeing great artists like Adele and Katy supporting the younger generation it's so good to see that love you adele." A fan wrote.
"She literally got her flowers from both Katy Perry and Adele over this song. She's literally taking it." Another user wrote on X.

Several other comments included netizens praising Sabrina Carpenter for her music and Adele for supporting her.

"Looks like Adele's got some love for Sabrina Carpenter's "Espresso"!" A user wrote.

A month ago, Katy Perry posted a clip of herself lip-syncing to Espresso in a transition video. In the video, she changes from wearing a casual outfit to a stunning leather dress. Katy Perry further captioned the post with reference to the lyrics of the latest song.

"I'm a singerrrr (and a mother, and a judge, and a...)"

Sabrina Carpenter spoke about the song to Apple Music and revealed that she wrote it while sitting in France. She further explained that the entire process of creating the track was quite fast. Sabrina continued by saying that, according to her, Espresso "had a lot of personality in it" as a song.

Fans have already been loving the song; however, the acknowledgment from artists like Katy Perry and Adele acted as a push for the track.

The young singer is also an actress, and she began her career by playing a guest role in Law & Order: Special Victims Unit in 2011. She then worked in movies like Noobz, The Short History Of The Long Road, Horns, and Tall Girl. In 2015, Sabrina dropped her first single Can't Blame A Girl For Trying. Her first album, Eyes Wide Open, was released in the same year as well.

Since then, Sabrina Carpenter has dropped several studio albums, including Evolution, Singular Act I, and Singular Act II.
