According to a Taylor Swift fan account’s January 2 post on X, recently, the song Look What You Made Me Do (Taylor's Version) was discovered to have been registered on Shazam. This music identification app only permits artists to register tracks. This supports Swiftie's hypothesis that the song's album Reputation (Taylor's Version) would be released in a few days.

However, the release order is still unknown, and there is currently no official release date in sight. Swifties also think there are further indications that the pop singer will release the much-awaited Reputation TV soon. Fans, however, are still waiting for Taylor to reveal the news.

On the other hand, once the X post went viral, it garnered a reaction from the netizens. Swifties flooded to the comment section of the post to show their excitement. One even said that they are “entering 2025 with absolute chaos.”

Taylor Swift has been re-releasing her older records since 2019; however, her albums Debut and Reputation have not yet been released. Even though there were numerous Easter Eggs throughout the previous year regarding the release, the pop-star did not make the major announcement.

However, with Look What You Made Me Do Taylor's Version getting registered on Shazam, Swifties started developing theories regarding the same. On the other hand, as many fans have noted, 2025 is the year of the snake in the Chinese zodiac. When Taylor Swift released her Reputation album in 2017, the snake was a prominent emblem of the record.

This happened after Kim Kardashian publicly called Taylor a "snake" following a backlash over her then-husband Kanye and called her “that b*tch" in her song Famous. In response, Swift used slithering snakes in her Look What You Made Me Do music video and donning snake bodysuits on her Era's Tour.

Swift HQ, the X account, noted that the new Reputation version might be available in a few days because Love Story (Taylor's Version) was officially released two days after it was registered on the app.

With a brand-new album in between, Taylor Swift has established a trend since 2021 of releasing two re-recorded albums every other year. The Tortured Poets Department came out in early 2024, and Midnights was released in 2022. This is not the first time she has surprised her fans like this.

Love Story (Taylor's Version) subtly appeared on Shazam a few days before its release. Months before, Wildest Dreams (Taylor's Version) also faced the same fate. Since the time seems to fit, some fans are certain that this has something to do with Reputation (Taylor's Version). On the other hand, some speculate that it could be related to something completely unanticipated, such as a surprise Grammys performance or a sync with RuPaul's Drag Race.
