Sabrina Carpenter is facing backlash from fans and X users over high ticket prices for her upcoming concert. BBC reported on July 24 that while the Hydro website listed tickets starting at £58 for the Glasgow OVO Hydro event, fans found that only tickets priced at £220 and above were available shortly after sales began. Fans feel they are being "forced out" due to the high costs.

Once the news of the ticket price went viral, fans and X users took to the platform to protest the entire thing and call out the singer for it.

“£240 to sit in the nosebleeds to see Sabrina Carpenter at the o2 - an artist with two hit singles and two other moderate hits. Absolutely APPALLING”, one X user wrote.
“I've made a pact to not go to any shows at the 02. J have never enjoyed a single one”, wrote another user.
“I agree that this price is absurd but to call her an artist with two hit singles when the girl has FIVE ALBUMS......”, another one said.

Other users also felt the same way.

“It is disgusting. I didn't even pay that much for Madonna. O2 needs to have a word with themselves”, another X user wrote.
“Somehow, somewhere, this is happening primarily because some already rich investors are not making enough of a massive fat return on their investment”, one user claimed.
“I went to eras twice for that amount wtf!!!!” another user commented.
“The Taylor swift impact. Because Taylor did it, everyone now thinks they can”, alleged one X user.

Ticketmaster is selling tickets for Sabrina Carpenter's 2025 Europe tour, which is all set for March of next year. Pre-sale opened on Tuesday, July 23, for the singer’s European dates of her Short n’ Sweet tour.

However, thousands of fans faced the exorbitant costs of the tickets for the seats located high up in the auditorium. The OVO Hydro show's presale indicated that the tickets range in price from £200 to £350.

BBC further reported in their July 24 article that according to music journalist Lisa-Marie Ferla, families who want to see the singers will be especially impacted by the rising price of the tickets.

She further said,

"A lot of the fans of these big pop acts are young girls, so you're not just buying one ticket but at least two. With the Sabrina Carpenter one, you've got her and Gracie Abrams playing a night apart at the Hydro next year, and tickets for Gracie went on sale last week.”

She then added,

"If your kid likes both of those acts, you'll be spending £1000 within a week. I don't see how many ordinary families can afford that. These big gigs are formative experiences but if every show is £200 it's going to force out emerging music fans."

Meanwhile, the Glasgow concert's expensive ticket costs have drawn comparisons to other previous high-profile tours. Similar criticism was faced by Billie Eilish from fans when her UK tour tickets went on sale and some of them cost more than £400.

Sources such as Outlook reported in their July 24 article that fans have also pointed out that even well-known musicians with lengthy careers, like Beyoncé and Taylor Swift, offer more reasonably priced options.

For example, tickets for Beyoncé's 2023 Renaissance tour were available for approximately £106.80 in standing, while tickets for Taylor Swift's Eras Tour ranged from £58.65 to £194.75, with a normal standing ticket price of £175.
