Popular music producer and rapper Kaytranada, in a recent interview with Vulture, spoke about the time he had the chance to produce Drake’s album, Honestly, Nevermind. During the interview, Kaytranada shared that he was approached after the Coachella after-party in Los Angeles for the main beats of Honestly, Nevermind.
However, he lost the opportunity, as he claimed that he responded with a simple “Sure, hit me up,” which, as per Drake, was less enthusiastic. Kaytranada said:
“Was I supposed to be like, ‘Oh my God, for real? Drake?’ I’m not like that.”
During the interview, he also recalled the time he refused to sell the rights to the remix of Beyonce’s Cuff It. The track iwas never released on music streaming platforms. He stated that Beyonce offered him money to retain all the rights to the song, however, Kaytranada said no to the same.
As parts of the interview made their way to social media, it left netizens shocked and surprised. One social media user commented on an The Neighbourhood Talk’s post about the same, and wrote:

Kaytranada left netizens shocked as he revealed that he denied selling Cuff It to Beyonce, as he stated in the interview:
“Sometimes people don’t see your worth and how important you are. I know what I mean to people.”
Kaytranada claimed that Beyonce’s team offered him less money for his remix version of Cuff It. The original song was released by Beyonce as a part of her seventh studio album, Renaissance, in 2022. It was produced by the singer herself, along with Nova Wav, Morten Ristorp, and The-Dream.
Beyonce’s Cuff It became an instant hit amongst, as it received many awards, including the Grammy Awards, ASCAP Rhythm & Soul Awards, NAACP Image Awards, and even the BMI R&B/Hip-Hop Awards.
Kaytranada is currently enjoying the success of his album Timeless, which was released in June this year. The album consists of 21 songs like Pressure, Spit It Out, Feel a Way, Still, Hold On, Please Babe, More Than a Little Bit, and Snap My Finger, amongst other songs.
