Amid the Diddy scandal and with Halloween around the corner, people have started coming up with costume ideas inspired by the music mogul. For instance, a photo on X shows a white couple dressed up as Combs and a bottle of baby oil, which has been circulating across the internet.
Many other photos of similar outfits have surfaced on the internet. What drew the most attention, however, were costumes involving blackface, which was criticized by netizens.
Meanwhile, users on X have voiced strong disapproval of these costumes. One individual tweeted:
"Any excuse for blackface."
Several netizens shared their take on the costumes.
"P. Diddy is not a Halloween costume. It’s not funny. It’s not cute. It’s not cool. Don't do it," another netizen wrote.
"It's also not a cosplay. And neither are victims," added a tweet.
"People dressing up as Diddy baby oil for Halloween really have zero brain cells," commented a user.
Additionally, netizens bashed the people wearing such costumes at Halloween parties and criticized blackface. A user tweeted:
"We shouldn’t have to teach white people that race isn’t a Halloween costume but clearly we need to. This is shameful and disgusting."
"AYOOOOOO PUT THAT BLACK PAINT DOWN 😭," wrote another one.
"Blackface in 2024? 😐" questioned a netizen.
Diddy-inspired outfits on Amazon and eBay for Halloween amid legal allegations against the music mogul
Several Combs masks are available on eBay and Amazon for those looking to emulate the music mogul this Halloween. The retail platforms are flooded with such items in light of the music mogul's s*x trafficking trial.
TMZ reported that several vendors are selling T-shirts featuring an animated Combs holding a bottle of baby oil. They further made him look like the DC Comics supervillain The Riddler. One Diddy-inspired product listed on eBay, sold by Surrey-based firm FunkyBunky, is priced at £1.74 and is being marketed as a "hot product" for Halloween.
FunkyBunky is also selling masks that look like Combs on their official website at a rate of £3.84. Additionally, Yorkshire company Celebrity Face Masks has been selling masks inspired by the music mogul on Amazon for £2.49.
These items have started getting popular amid the scandal in which Combs was accused of s*x trafficking and abuse by several people. He is currently behind bars, waiting for the trial to begin. Although the mogul has requested bail, the judge has consistently rejected it.
Earlier this month, attorney Tony Buzbee told TMZ that several Hollywood celebrities have now been trying to pay off the accusers just to avoid getting named in court in connection to the 54-year-old music mogul.
Buzbee alleged they have the names of several other celebrities apart from Sean "Diddy" Combs. While there has been speculation about A-listers like Beyoncé and Jay-Z, none of them have been officially named in any court document.
