Reacting to a recent lawsuit against Jay-Z, 50 Cent took to Instagram on December 9 and asked if the Super Bowl 2025 is still happening.

"Ok I don't know what's going on, but are we gonna still have the Super Bowl. I'm just asking for a friend! @bransoncognac @lecheminduroi," 50 Cent wrote in the caption.

On December 8, 2024, Jay-Z was accused of r*pe in a lawsuit that was initially filed against Diddy. The alleged victim was 13 years old when the incident happened at the MTV Video Music Awards afterparty, as per a report by NBC News.

Notably, 50 Cent's question was based on Jay-Z's link to the Super Bowl through his company, Roc Nation, which selects artists to perform at the event every year. According to USA Today, the company has been working in collaboration with the NFL since 2019, and they extended the partnership in October of this year.

Cent has been speaking about Diddy ever since the latter got involved in various legal issues. 50 Cent had already had a dispute with Jay for many years, and he also did not promote his performance at the Super Bowl around two years ago because of Jay's association with the event, as stated by Hot New Hip Hop.

Jay-Z has replied to the lawsuit in a statement shared on social media

The Brooklyn, New York City native was named in a lawsuit that was refiled on Sunday after being originally filed against Diddy in October 2024. In response to the lawsuit, Jay posted a statement through the official page of Roc Nation on X on December 9.

Writing that attorney Tony Buzbee had sent a demand letter to his lawyer, Jay-Z said:

"What he had calculated was the nature of these allegations and the public scrutiny would make me want to settle. No sir, it had the opposite effect! It made me want to expose you for the fraud you are in a very public fashion. So no, I will not give you one red penny!!"

Apart from denying the accusation of r*pe, Jay-Z said that a criminal complaint should be filed so that the person who has committed the crime is locked in prison.

Jay said that his family will now have to go through a tough phase since he and his wife have to speak to their children, considering that they will be questioned by everyone else about the accusation.

"Children should not have to endure such at their young age. It is unfair to have to try to understand inexplicable degrees of malice meant to destroy families and human spirit. My heart and support goes out to true victims in the world, who have to watch how their life story is dressed in costume for profitability by this ambulance chaser in a cheap suit," he said.

Jay-Z wrote in the end that he is not like other celebrities, adding that people like him maintain "strict codes and honor." He even referred to Buzbee by saying that they have a habit of exploiting people for benefits and that individuals living around Buzbee will believe the accusation against him.

Lawsuit against Diddy and Jay-Z explained in brief

The alleged victim's identity in the lawsuit mentioning Jay-Z has yet to be made official. The alleged victim had claimed in the legal documents that a female celebrity was present inside the room when she was r*ped, as stated by CNBC TV-18. However, she is being referred to as Jane Doe.

According to NBC News, the alleged victim was attempting to enter the afterparty and was approached by a driver who claimed to be working for Diddy. The driver reportedly told the alleged victim to return to his car in the evening after inviting her to a party.

The driver then took the victim to a house, and she had to allegedly sign a document before entering the party that was attended by some popular faces from the industry. The alleged victim started feeling uncomfortable after being offered a drink, and she entered a room to take a rest.

The legal documents allege that Diddy and Jay-Z entered the room a few moments later and r*ped her. The lawsuit claimed that the alleged victim was able to escape after hitting Diddy on the neck and got in touch with her father after reaching a gas station.

Diddy was taken into custody in September 2024 on charges of s*x trafficking, racketeering, and transportation to engage in prostitution. Also known as Sean Love Combs, his trial is scheduled for May 5, 2025.
