American rapper Boosie BadAzz advised American schools to take drastic steps after a violent shooting incident at the Apalachee High School shook the entire nation on September 4. A teenager allegedly went on a shooting spree inside the school, claiming four lives.

Boosie BadAzz (aka Torrence Hatch Jr.) took to X and vented his grievance about schools apparently not providing enough protection to children and the exponentially increasing cases of gun violence. He also implored the next President to come up with protective measures for schools, even suggesting that they keep snipers inside the premises.

"THE NEXT PRESIDENT NEED TO MAKE A LAW THAT PUTS 4 ARMED SNIPERS N EVERY SCHOOL N THIS COUNTRY TO PROTECT OUR CHILDREN,” he tweeted.

Boosie BadAzz questioned the government's incompetence in protecting school children despite spending billions to protect people in other sectors.

“EVERY YEAR THIS COUNTRY SHREDS BILLIONS OF DOLLARS AT THE END OF THE YEAR N THROWS IT AWAY. WHY CANT SOME OF THAT MONEY BE SPENT TO PROTECT OUR CHILDREN? WE PROTECT SPORTS, ENTERTAINMENT VENUES, CASINOS, FEDERAL BUILDINGS ETC. CALLING MY BABY MOMAS ‘IM THINKING HOME SCHOOL."

Netizens have voiced their reaction to Boosie BadAzz's comments on X. Some of the more popular reactions to the rapper's solution are as follows:

"Are you insane? This would not go how you think it would go at all. It's all fun and games until that pos pig sniper thinks young Jalen is being threatening enough to pretty young Miss Jameson by existing to justify a homicide." opined someone on X.

Other netizens also thought that snipers in school would put students in danger.

"We had NYPD on campus at Columbia and they fired a gun at us. Snipers have been used to repress protests at college campuses across the country. These snipers have aimed at students. This would put people in danger," one person said.
"f**k a sniper gon do when a n***a start shooting from b-hal.l announced someone on X."

One netizen came up with a novel plan for the government to ensure the safety of school children. They stated:

"Consider hiring combat veterans to patrol schools during sessions. Offer them fair wages, free healthcare, and allow them to escort kids home if needed, ensuring no child is unprotected."

Many people slammed Boosie BadAzz for opposing gun violence despite being involved in the same at one time in the past.

"Boosie the activist. Man plz. U spoke on shootings in every song at that age. #stopthaCap," wrote one person on X.

Some other reactions on X are as follows:

"They Gotta Consider Closing All Schools And Making Home School The Law If They Can’t Fix This," wrote one.
"Why are we the only country that needs guards at school?" asked another.

"Name one federal building that has 4 armed snipers hanging around other than the White House? And who’s going to pay to have these armed snipers at every school for 8 to 10 hours of the school day?" interrogated another netizen.

According to a report by USA Today, cops identified the primary suspect as 14-year-old Colt Gray. The shooting resulted in nine injuries and four deaths — Mason Schermerhorn, 14, Christian Angulo, 14, Richard Aspinwall, 39, and Christina Irimie, 53.

However, police responded immediately and arrested the teenager, who surrendered without fuss. According to the report, Colt Gray would be charged as an adult and might face several counts of murder.

Georgia Bureau of Investigation Director Chris Hosey informed that investigations were going on, especially to find out how the teenager got hold of the weapon.

Boosie BadAzz has had his run-ins with the law for a long time now. In July, the judge dismissed his gun possession case that stemmed from a traffic stop arrest in May 2023.

However, the case was reopened two weeks later with two fresh accusations of weapon possession and abuse of a controlled substance. If Boosie BadAzz is found guilty, he might face a prison sentence of up to a decade.

On August 31, the rapper took to X and implored the future winning candidate of the United States Presidential election to grant him a pardon from the ongoing legal conundrum. Boosie BadAzz wrote:

“My case got dismissed for a ruling that was made n the 9th circuit court. 2 weeks later the ruling gets vacated. Smh soon as i celebrate the law is vacated gtfoh i got some powerful people who hate me with every bone n they body. I was sent to prison for 10 years for 3rd marijuana. For being a user lol no rehab ,no probation sent straight to prison .at this point i need a parden from whoever wins @vp@realdonaldtrump."

However, Boosie BadAzz has a history of speaking ill against Kamala Harris and Donald Trump. Therefore, it will be interesting to see if the future President comes forward to help the Set It Off rapper.

The United States Presidential campaign is at the final stages for both candidates, with the election date just two months away.
