Argentinian waiter Braian Paiz revealed during TMZ's TMZ Investigates: Liam Payne: Who's to Blame? that he used cocaine with Liam Payne approximately two nights before his death. However, Paiz also insisted that he was not a drug dealer. In the episode aired on Monday, December 16, 2024, at 8 pm ET on FOX, he admitted to partying with Payne in his hotel room in Buenos Aires.

The waiter added that he had gotten intoxicated with the singer on October 13, 2024, two nights before his death. Paiz said:

"Our second hotel meeting was on the night of Sunday October 13. We spent the night together, we consumed drugs because the truth is that something intimate happened."

According to the waiter, the pair drank whiskey and used cocaine, which he carried to the hotel.

"There was cocaine - there wasn't even a lot of it but we had some with whiskey... The second night too."

Furthermore, he also denied being a drug dealer.

"They say I’m the dealer, that I carried drugs, that I sold them. And the truth is that no, no I didn’t sell them."

The waiter further told TMZ that he noticed drugs scattered all over the room after Payne's death. While admitting to doing drugs with the singer, Paiz also stated that he never took money from him.

Adding to it, Braian Paiz revealed that the singer apparently offered him a Rolex watch, which he ultimately denied. He further told the outlet:

"I didn’t accept anything, just a drawing that he drew which was part of my eyes, nose and mouth. He draws. I draw. I’m studying to do it so I had drawings."

Paiz also denied any kind of involvement in Payne's death. As per reports by Irish Star, he was apprehended with charges related to supplying and facilitating drugs to the late singer.

As reported by The New York Post, Paiz met Payne at the restaurant, where the duo bonded over their common interest in drawing.

Authorities in Argentina are reportedly looking into three individuals in connection to Liam Payne's death

The New York Post reported that Argentinian authorities have been investigating the former One Direction musician's death, and they are seemingly going after three people. Besides Braian Paiz, the waiter who claimed that he did cocaine with Liam Payne, Roger Nores, who was a friend of the singer, has also come under scrutiny.

Another individual who was an employee at the CasaSur Palermo Hotel has also been investigated after being accused of selling cocaine to Liam while he was staying at the hotel.

After Paiz, Nores also claimed that he must not be blamed for the singer's demise. He, too, spoke to TMZ for their documentary.

"He [Liam Payne] was in good spirits, he was talking to 10 or 15 Americans that were here for a wedding," Nores said.

He further gave insights into Liam's condition before he left.

"He was perfectly balanced, talking to everybody, having fun, laughing, so nothing out of the ordinary. So that's when I said, 'bye'. He seemed playful and happy. I went to the hotel three times to check on him. He seemed tipsy but nothing out of the ordinary," he stated.

Allegations of Nores abandoning the singer before the incident struck arose, but no charges have been filed against him. He, however, claimed that Liam Payne seemed quite positive when he left the place.

Updates about further details related to Liam's death are awaited.
