Ariana Grande won't be going on tour in 2025, much to her fans' disappointment, as the singer-actress plans to explore "different forms of art." In a Variety interview on Tuesday, December 16, afternoon, which was published on the outlet the following day, Grande mentioned that there is no 2025 tour on her schedule. She said:

"I feel so grateful for the acting, and I think my fans know that music and being on stage will always be a part of my life, but I don't see it coming anytime soon."

The Grammy-winning pop artist plans to explore other forms of art instead, at least for the next couple of years, saying:

"I think the next few years, hopefully we'll be exploring different forms of art, and I think acting is feeling like home right now."

Ariana Grande explained why touring is not on her 2025 bucket list after Republic Records debunked rumors about a mini tour she planned for next year. After some eagle-eyed fans got excited after seeing 15 events listed under Grande's name on Ticketmaster on December 14, her label commented on a post mentioning the supposed tour, saying:

"There are no plans for a tour next year, but Ariana remains deeply appreciative of her fans and all the continued love, support, and excitement."

It turned out that the supposed Ariana Grande tour dates were likely due to a glitch on the Ticketmaster website. During her interview with Variety, Ariana Grande said that music will always be part of her life and that she was "appreciative" of her fans' understanding. But while fans won't be seeing her back onstage just yet, the pop star teased that she will be performing at her mother's house.

Ariana Grande talks about her journey with Wicked as she plans to pursue acting

As she thanked her fans for understanding why she won't be touring in 2025, Ariana Grande said that she's grateful to have worked in the recent movie Wicked. She plays Glinda, The Good Witch, alongside Cynthia Erivo's Elphaba character in the film, which arrived in US cinemas on November 22. She said during the Variety interview:

"I'm so grateful for the ways in which we've [me and my fans] grown together over this whole journey with 'Wicked.'"

Wicked is a two-part film, with the second part of the movie scheduled for a November 21, 2025 release date. The Wicked actress also dished about the second movie during her interview with the outlets, revealing its working title a day after it was officially announced on Monday, December 15. She said that they knew what part two of the movie would be called ahead of filming, adding:

"We had ['For Good'] printed on our original scripts, the hard copies that we were originally given. We were floating around different ideas but the scripts were printed with it since day one. I'm glad it's official now because we grew rather attached to it."

Universal Pictures announced Wicked: For Good on December 15, per the Hollywood Reporter. The movie's official Instagram account also posted the new title along with the release date. For Good is also an Elphaba and Glinda duet on the original stage show. Wicked composer Stephen Schwartz wrote the song.
