On Monday, June 10, the acclaimed Nigerian Afrobeats sensation Asake announced that his highly anticipated 2024 Lungu Boy World Tour is officially underway. Scheduled to begin this year, this particular tour will happen across North America and Europe and will impress the listeners during the live performances.
This comes after Asake recently revealed that he has been working on a new album that will be released sometime in the late summer. Asake’s upcoming tour will be the largest one he has embarked on, given the 14 shows and the inclusion of multiple festival credentials.
The Lungu Boy World Tour starts on June 26 at Afro Nation Portugal and includes other prominent festival appearances, such as the Wireless Festival in London and Afro Nation Detroit. Asake will also make major venue stops at Atlanta’s State Farm Arena and New York City’s Madison Square Garden before concluding the tour on October 6 at Promiseland Festival in Gold Coast.
Tickets for the Grammy-nominated Nigerian artist’s concert shows in North America will be available for sale, with the artist presale starting on Wednesday, June 12, at 10 am local time. There will be other presale occasions again, which will be continued with the general sale of the tickets on Friday, June 14, at 10 am local time. Fans can access the tickets through www.asaketour.com.
There will be a Mastercard presale for select markets in the United Kingdom and Europe starting Wednesday, June 12, at 10 am local time and artist presale. In France and the Netherlands, Mastercard cardholders can purchase presale tickets starting Wednesday, June 12 at 10 am local time until Friday, June 14, when ticket access becomes available starting 10 am local time.
Asake's Lungu Boy World Tour 2024 dates
The North American and European leg of the tour begins on Friday, August 16, in Washington, DC, at Capital One Arena. It includes stops in key cities such as Atlanta, Los Angeles, New York, Berlin, and Amsterdam.
It will culminate on Sunday, September 28, in Paris, France, at Zenith. These performances will see Asake gracing some of the most iconic venues of his career thus far, including the legendary Madison Square Garden.
The tour will support Asake’s third studio album, which is expected to drop later this summer. Fans can look forward to hearing new music live for the first time, alongside hits from his previous albums. Asake recently contributed to Ayra Starr’s The Year I Turned 21 on the track Goodbye (Warm Up) and Tems’ Born in the Wild with the song Get it Right.
