Karol G and Bad Bunny are among the top nominees for the upcoming Billboard Latin Music Awards. The final list of nominees was announced by Telemundo on September 12, 2024. Karol G, often called the Queen of Latin music, leads with 17 nominations.
The Amargura singer has received more nominations this year than in 2022 and 2023, where she got 15 and 13 nods respectively. Karol G's nominations this year include Artist of the Year, Tour of the Year, and Global 200 Artist of the Year.

Bad Bunny and Karol G earn nominations for hits like Qlona and Exodo at the 2024 Billboard Latin Music Awards
Karol G's fourth studio album has been a massive success, debuting at the top of the Billboard 200 and marking her first number-one and top-ten entries.
The album is also up for the Top Latin Album of the Year award. Its featured track Qlona, featuring Peso Pluma, has received six nominations including Song of the Year, Sales, and Hot Latin Song of the Year.
Mi Ex Razon, another popular track from the album has earned two nominations for Latin Airplay Song of the Year and Sales Song of the Year.
Karol G is no stranger to receiving trophies at the Billboard Latin Music Awards. At the Billboard Latin Music Awards 2023, Karol G took the stage wearing a dazzling white dress adorned with fringes. She received the Spirit of Hope Honor for her philanthropic work with the Con Cora Foundation. In her speech, she said:
"This is probably one of the most special awards I’ve ever received in my entire career,”
She concluded her speech by presenting the award to Valentina Bueno, the director of the foundation, and said:
"Today I have this award here, but I want to give it to (Bueno).. the director of the foundation. She more than anyone makes this foundation a reality."
Bad Bunny's collaboration with Colombian artist Feid on the hit track PERRO NEGRO has received five nominations, including Hot Latin Song Vocal Collaboration of the Year and Global 200 Latin Song of the Year.
His fifth studio album, Nadir Sabe Lo Que Va a Pasar Mañana, released in October 2023 also received nominations for Top Latin Album of the Year and Latin Rhythm Album of the Year.
Peso Pluma ties with Bad Bunny for the second most nominations with 15 nods. The Mexican singer is up for Artist of the Year, Songwriter of the Year, and Mexican Album of the Year for his album Exodo.
His collaboration with Karol G for Qlona accounts for six of his entries. His hit track Lady Gaga with Gabito Ballesteros and Junior H is also nominated for two awards: Hot Latin Song of the Year, Vocal Event, and Streaming Song of the Year.
The 31st annual Billboard Music Awards will be broadcast on Telemundo on October 20, 2024. The show will be broadcast simultaneously on Entertainment Cable Network Universo, Peacock, the Telemundo app, and Telemundo Internacional.
