Azealia Banks recently took to X on October 21 and shared a series of tweets. In the tweets, Banks once called herself "fatphobic" and expressed that she has immense "hatred" towards "fat white men." In the first tweet, the 33-year-old singer wrote:
"I think I'm ready to admit that I'm extremely fat phobic towards men especially fat white men. A fat white man is my worst nightmare."
In a follow-up tweet, Azealia stated:
"I have like, uncontrollable hatred for fat white men i dunno what it is.."
She then went on ranting on another tweet that she posted, where she wrote:
"There's a level of wiggerdom a fit attractive wigger can slide by with. But fat wiggers and white dreadlocks really anger me deeply. I should go to therapy about this."
As per Merriam-webster, a "wigger" is a slang used for "a white person who admires and seeks to emulate black culture." These tweets became quite popular and prompted netizens to flood the social media platform with their reactions. Here are some responses found on X:
"Twins! Sort of… Im Big Black Woman-phobic," another netizen tweeted.
"So Trump?" questioned another user.
"You need to decide sis: either you are fat white men phobic, or you support Donald Trump," added a tweet.
Several other netizens had taken to the social media platform to express their take. Many even sided with Azealia Banks. One user tweeted:
"This the most sensible thing you ever said & I agree."
"Thank you for this brave statement 💕 I support you queen," commented another one.
"As a white man I approve this message. Fat white men are a problem in this country. It’s become my mission to bring back bullying and shame them..." explained a netizen.
Azealia Banks recently called Jelly Roll a "fat a**" after Beautifully Broken debuted at No. 1 on the Billboard 200
On October 20, Azealia Banks made some remarks about Jelly Roll after his recently released album Beautifully Broken beat Charli XCX's album Brat. While Roll's album made it to the top, Charli's project ranked third on the list. This seemingly prompted Azealia to take a dig at Jelly Roll.
In a tweet made on Sunday, she wrote:
"I can't with all these fat white men in music right now. As desperate as this too long brat album cycle has been sis doesn't deserve to lose to some obese white man named ‘jellyroll’..."
In a follow-up tweet, she explained that she'd no support a "fat white n*gga in any of his life's endeavors." While several netizens agreed to her, many defended Roll and called out her behavior.
Earlier this month, Azealia Banks made it to the headlines after she made some remarks about Camila Cabello. In the tweets, Banks called Cabello a "forcep baby" who is neither "pretty or talented." The comments then brought her under massive scrutiny on the internet.
