Diddy's arrest on September 16, 2024, has led to a lineup of reactions on different platforms. The rapper, also known as Sean "Diddy" Combs, was charged with s*x trafficking, racketeering, and transportation to engage in prostitution. Meanwhile, another rapper, Boosie BadAzz shared his reaction to the arrest on September 18 through social media.
Boosie posted two separate statements through his official page on X (formerly Twitter) and wrote:
"I feel Diddy n jail for basically doing what every other famous entertainer has done "flew b*tches out for 3 somes "he just freakier!! We actually go call women prostitutes who fly n willingly to be with they partners for s*x? If that's the case if u been flewed out n had s*x you should be labeled a prostitute. If that's the case that's 80% of the women reading this."
Boosie even criticized the charges of trafficking imposed on Diddy and added:
"You're never n one place when I saw that video I was pissed off at this n*gga like he really got a problem. But facing "life n prison "for doing basically what so many other entertainer has done #idisagree."
This was followed by another post where Boosie stated that similar charges would be used by others to target celebrities in the upcoming days. He addressed the same by writing:
""Who flying they yeah yeahs n to turn up? Who always n a different city n gotta fly p*ssy to them? Who aint tripping n go give they s*x partner a lil change. Think about it this sh*t real "If u fly a chick n yall turn up n u give her a lil change so she straight when she go home thats #s*xtrafficking!!"
Diddy planning to appeal after his bail was rejected by the court
After his arrest on September 16, 2024, Combs was taken to the court the following day where US Magistrate Judge Robyn Tarnofsky ordered that he would remain in custody. Notably, he might be sentenced to prison if he is convicted of the charges.
On the other hand, Diddy denied the accusations against him at the hearing that lasted for two hours. Sean's attorney Marc Agnifilo attempted to get him released on a $50 million bond which was eventually rejected. The bail package also included a few terms such as weekly drug tests, home detention, and passport surrender.
Combs is currently being held at the Special Housing Unit of the Brooklyn-based Metropolitan Detention Center, and he is reportedly appealing his bail denial on September 18.
Certain reasons were cited while rejecting the bail, including the weapons discovered during the raids conducted at his houses in different cities in March 2024. Another reason for denying the bail was the surveillance footage of Cassie Ventura being assaulted by Diddy, with prosecutors claiming that he might try to escape from the investigation.
As per Page Six, a grand jury indictment revealed the items seized during the house raids, which were associated with the alleged s*x events called Freak Offs, that happened at various hotels. The items included narcotics alongside thousands of baby oil and lubricant bottles.
Various other personalities have reacted to Diddy's arrest, including Aubrey O'Day, who told TMZ that everyone is trying to process the "type of vindication" they are currently feeling.
