50 Cent made headlines after he mocked Irv Gotti, as the news about his latest health scare broke on social media. The whole fiasco happened after Wack 100 broke the news about Gotti suffering from a “minor stroke,” on his podcast on Monday, August 26, 2024, and also shared a picture of him walking with the help of a cane.
This prompted a post from 50 Cent, who also shared a picture of Irv Gotti, and mentioned in the caption:
“Damn homie, in high school you was the man homie, WTF happened to you? I want Irv to get well, so he can have to watch my next wave."

As soon as Wack 100 broke the news about Irv Gotti suffering from a stroke, the DJ’s representatives released a statement and clarified how he has been suffering from diabetes for many years now. The statement read:
"Irv has been struggling with diabetes for years, which caused him to have a minor stroke over six months ago. He has since changed his diet to eating more healthy. He's been successful in making a full recovery. Irv is not in a rehab facility. He is at home with his family, enjoying life."
The news about Gotti’s illness came out when Wack 100 made claims about the DJ being sick, as he stated how he appeared to have “lost a lot of weight.” However, along with the statement from his representatives, Irv also added a line for his fans from his end, as he claimed:
“I’m getting older. That’s all. Only thing worse than getting old is not getting old. Life is good.”
