Boosie Badazz had a lot of confrontations with the law over the years. While a majority of the cases have not been closed yet, a federal gun charge related to gun possession has been recently dismissed on July 12, 2024. The accusations are associated with his arrest that happened in June last year.
The rapper posted a video through his Instagram page after the verdict came out, expressing love and support towards all those who stood by him in this difficult phase. He wrote:
"U make a away out of no way. U made me beat South Baton Rouge, u made me beat cancer, u made me beat death row, u made me beat gun shots, u made me beat fed case, u forgave my sins #itrustnugod every time it looked like it was impossible you showed they a*s!"
Boosie Badazz was also spotted getting emotional as he spoke outside the court and said:
"Ninety percent of people thought I was going to prison, but God had a different plan."
While the news went viral, netizens took to the comments section of The Shade Room's Instagram post to share their reactions. One of them reads:
"Boosie beat cancer, diabetes, the death penalty and the feds! I'm happy to see him continue to bear the odds and remain solid!!! Top 3 in my music rotation!"
People expressed their happiness with Boosie's release, with a few of them saying that it happened since he takes care of his family members. Another person wrote that God loves Boosie because of which he did not have to remain in prison for a long time.

As mentioned, on July 12, a federal court dismissed the gun charges imposed on Boosie Badazz last year. The news was also confirmed by reporter Meghann Cuniff, who shared a picture on Saturday, June 13, featuring Boosie with his attorney Meghan Blanco at the court through her official page on X (formerly Twitter).
Also known as Torence Ivy Hatch Jr., he posted three videos through his Instagram page where he was spotted celebrating the occasion. In one of the posts, he said that he did not have the words to describe the entire situation and added:
"I'm gonna take me a trip cross country bro. Got to about three different countries. God good, boy. He'll make a way out of no way. That n*gga love me, bro."
The 41-year-old was seen enjoying in the pool and Daft Punk's song One More Time could be heard in the background. Boosie Badazz also revealed that things have changed for him now as he could acquire his gun rights again.
Boosie's attorney Megahn Blanco later spoke to XXL Magazine, saying that she was "thrilled" after the court's verdict. She additionally stated that Torence would finally be able to put his bad phase behind him and return to making more music for fans.
The Baton Rouge, Louisiana native was arrested on June 14, 2023, from a courthouse in San Diego, California. It was linked to an Instagram Live session organized by a Crip member where the authorities reportedly witnessed a handgun in his waistband.
Torence's last album, Lines for Valentines, was released last year. Boosie Badazz is popular for his singles such as Better Not Fight, Heart of a Lion, and Like a Man.
