A conspiracy theory involving Beyonce has gone viral online, and it suggests that the song Daughter from her album, Cowboy Carter, was allegedly a murder confession of Cathy White.
Cathy White was a former industry publicist who reportedly died after suffering from a brain aneurysm on September 1, 2011, at the age of 29. Her untimely death has since been shrouded in intrigue.
The conspiracy theory on TikTok alleges that Beyonce was involved in the death of Cathy White. TikTok user @allegedlyspeaking quoted the following lyrics from the track, alleging that it refers to a murder:
"Your body laid out on these filthy floors/ Your bloodstains on my custom coutures/ Bathroom attendant let me right in/She was a big fan/I really tried to stay cool/But your arrogance disturbed my solitude/Now I ripped your dress and you're all black and blue/Look what you made me do."
The conspiracy theory also alleges that Cathy White was pregnant with Beyoncé's husband, Jay-Z's child, before her death. Shortly after giving birth, White passed away under reportedly mysterious circumstances. It further alleges that Beyonce's first child with Hov, Blue Ivy, is actually the illegitimate child of White and Jay-Z.
In other words, it states that Beyonce allegedly murdered White and now claims the latter's daughter, Blue Ivy, as her own.
It is essential to note that none of the theories have any factual basis as of writing. There is no evidence to prove Beyonce or Jay-Z were involved in the death of Cathy White. There is also no proof of her being pregnant at the time or before her death.
Beyonce conspiracy theory claims she faked her pregnancy to cover Cathy White's alleged murder
The Cathy White conspiracy theory also connects Beyonce's pregnancy dates with the death of the publicist. Queen Bee announced that she was expecting her first child with her husband, Jay-Z, on August 28, 2011, at the MTV VMAs.
White passed away three days later on September 1, 2011. The couple's first child, Blue Ivy, was born January 7, 2012.
The aforementioned theory suggests that the Cowboy Carter singer was allegedly faking her pregnancy in 2011, and Ivy is actually White's daughter with Jay-Z.
It continues to claim that White died after giving birth to her alleged illegitimate child with Jay-Z. To further justify the conspiracy theory, TikTok user @allegedlyspeaking also referred to a clip from a 2011 interview of the singer from the Australian TV show Sunday Night.
In the clip, Bey is seen sitting down for her interview, and her baby bump allegedly "deflates." However, there is no evidence or confirmation to prove the singer was faking her pregnancy. The theory is based on observations solely made by netizens and fans.
In 2011, rumors of the singer faking her pregnancy with a prosthetic belly and hiring a surrogate to carry her child circulated among fans. In a 2012 interview with PEOPLE, Queen Bee shut down the rumors and said:
"That was crazy. It wasn’t hurtful, it was just crazy. Where did they come up with this?”
The singer's mother, Tina Knowles, also spoke to People Magazine about the fake pregnancy rumors surrounding her daughter. She said:
"I thought it was very unfair and very cruel that someone would think that someone would be that diabolical to keep up a charade like that for nine months. As a mother it was painful for me to hear the crazy rumors. And I even had people ask me, which was so ridiculous."
In her aforementioned interview, Bey also claimed the fabric deflated and made it look like her baby bump had shrunk in the clip. She said:
"It was a fabric that folded—does fabric not fold? Oh my gosh, so stupid."
Since Blue Ivy's birth, Beyonce and Jay-Z welcomed twins, Rumi and Sir, in 2017.
Singer Jaguar Wright accused Jay-Z and Diddy for the death of Cathy White
American singer Jaguar Wright recently accused Beyonce's husband, Jay-Z, and his longtime friend, Sean Diddy Combs, of having knowledge about Cathy White's death. Wright's claims were close to the conspiracy theories explained earlier, but there is still no factual basis for them.
Speaking on a recent podcast, Jaguar Wright claimed that Cathy White allegedly died 24 hours after revealing to Jay-Z that she was pregnant with his child. She also indicated alleged foul play in White's death.
“Was it an aneurysm, Diddy? You and Jay-Z, down in Vegas in town with Claudia, why don’t you just talk about Kathy?," Wright said.
Her comments came amid Diddy being arrested in New York after facing three charges of s*x trafficking and racketeering. Meanwhile, actress Claudia Jordan, whom Wright mentioned in her comments, completely denied the rumors via Instagram.
"I’m sick of this sh*t!! When and where did she ‘make this announcement’? And she [Cathy White] came to my house a few times during the months we hung out in 2010 and she was never pregnant around me!"
She continued:
"Matter of fact we drank, gambled together, and played craps in Vegas (no Jay-Z) and went to an amusement park with her then bf that was NOT Jay-Z. And she NEVER told me anything about her and him being anything. I’m so sick of people telling this story!!"
Neither Jay-Z nor Beyonce have spoken on the matter of Cathy White's death since 2011. It is widely accepted that the publicist passed away due to a brain aneurysm in 2011.
