"I think it’s about time I show you guys what it does for my hair": Beyoncé reveals how Cécred works for her

It is not uncommon for celebrities to receive criticism about their products. Fans can speculate if celebrities ever use their products. The R&B superstar gave her fans a surprise demonstration of what her products do for her hair in the video. She said—

"Now that Cécred is known for the quality and what it does for you hair, I think it's about time I show y'all what it does for my hair."

Cécred (pronounced as sacred) has been Beyoncé's "lifelong dream" and the starting point of prioritizing her hair. She further shut down the stigma about wigs or how people's hair 'should' be. She noted in the caption—

“Being disruptive and challenging everything people feel should be the process has always been exciting to me. My hair and music seemed to do that a lot over the years."

The Grammy-award singer also added that wash days are her favorite since they pave the way for self-care and downtime. At the end of the video, she expressed gratitude towards the support fans have shown for her products and said—

"We're building the community that I've always dreamt about."

Origins and development of Cécred

Cécred's beginnings can be traced back to Beyoncé's early teens when her first job was sweeping hair at her mother's salon. In a series of posts on Instagram on May 17, 2023, she revealed her first-hand experience of nurturance and celebration of hair and women.

The Single Ladies singer reported—

“I watched her heal and be of service to so many women."

As mentioned on Cécred's website, Beyoncé reported that it has been her dream to create hair products and bring her "mother's teachings to life." As reported by HipHopDX Cécred has been trademarked for various other products such as cosmetic bags, bedsheets, clothing, and sleep masks.

She has also described her personal experiences of maintaining 25 years of blonde on natural hair helped her develop the products for Cécred. She reported that the products delivered—

"All quality, with NO shortcuts."

Beyoncé is proud of the community she has been able to build through Cécred. Through her music and now with her products, she wants her fans to feel their best selves.
