Country music star Billy Ray Cyrus has now accused his estranged wife Firerose of physical, verbal, and emotional abuse. This comes in response to her allegations of emotional abuse against him, filed on June 14.

In the filings submitted on June 24 in Williamson County, Tennessee, further details were outlined, which were obtained recently by various publications. The court documents state:

"While the plaintiff [Cyrus] would acknowledge that he was certainly vocal, frustrated, and angry with the defendant [Firerose] in May 2024, it is [Cyrus] who, in fact, has been abused. Not only verbally and emotionally by the defendant, but also physically by the defendant."

The Achy Breaky Heart singer claimed Firerose's accusations were exaggerated. He stated that her claims were intended to sensationalize her complaints.

Cyrus's manager, Scott Adkins, supported these claims in an affidavit. He pointed out that Firerose had left Cyrus a note apologizing and asking for another chance, which contradicted her allegations.

Cyrus's latest court filings deny Firerose's accusations and assert that he was the one abused during their short marriage. He detailed instances of alleged physical, verbal, and emotional abuse by Firerose.

Cyrus also denied threatening to end her career. He claimed he was unaware of her BRCA1 gene mutation and her increased risk of breast cancer until after their marriage.

Billy Ray Cyrus and Firerose’s divorce battle intensifies with new allegations

Country music star Billy Ray Cyrus has escalated his legal battle with his estranged wife Firerose, accusing her of physical, verbal, and emotional abuse. These new allegations come in response to Firerose’s claims of emotional abuse.

In the latest court documents, Billy Ray Cyrus claims that Firerose's accusations are exaggerated and were further supported by Cyrus's manager, Scott Adkins in an affidavit. The documents reveal that Cyrus confronted Firerose about the alleged fraud. He claims she threatened him, saying:

"If you ever think of divorcing me right now, I will tell everyone that you did it because of the double mastectomy and your career will be over."

Firerose had previously claimed Cyrus filed for divorce one day before her scheduled preventative double mastectomy. However, Cyrus’s lawyers refute this, stating she only had a preliminary appointment on May 24, 2024, with the actual surgery set for June 6, 2024.

Cyrus's legal team further alleges Firerose planned the surgery to carry out her threat of claiming the divorce was due to the mastectomy, to ruin Cyrus’s career. They also deny Firerose’s claim that he ambushed her with divorce papers, stating she locked herself in his home to avoid the process server.

Additionally, Billy Ray Cyrus accused Firerose of making nearly $100,000 in unauthorized credit card charges and requested a temporary restraining order to prevent further charges.

Firerose’s attorneys have called these accusations "untrue." Cyrus also alleges that Firerose had been recording him and others without his knowledge throughout their relationship.

Cyrus's manager, Scott Adkins, described an incident on March 24, 2024, when Cyrus was offered a chance to perform with Nicki Minaj. Adkins claims Firerose was combative about the opportunity, and Cyrus said on the phone:

"Scott, she is hitting me again."

Billy Ray Cyrus allegedly later locked himself in a cabin to avoid further conflict.
