"I mean, you know, speaking that kind of language to a pastor is unbelievable. Uncalled for. Disrespectful is distasteful. It's disgraceful. In every sense. I don't care what I said it for. No matter what prompt me to say that. And Pastor Bryant knows some of the stuff I was going through."

He addressed the words he used in the video, calling it a "blasphemy" and continued:

"It's not okay. My bad Pastor Brian. I apologize man. I lost it. I'm human. People go through that stuff and I was very angry because I'm scared that some of the stuff I said that I wasn't supposed to say. Could affect me legally and stuff like that so I just lost it and I shouldn't have said words like that. Pray for me."

Jamal Bryant responds to Ray J’s threat video

Bryant has shared an Instagram video with a picture where he was posing with Ray. This was in response to the other clip where Ray threatened him. Bryant recalled his interview with Ray J, saying that he was surprised and disheartened to "wake up to unfounded threats and baseless accusations" made towards him. He further stated:

"As part of our commitment to honest dialogue, we ensured that specific comments with potential legal ramifications were edited out of the interview to safeguard the best interest of a brother beloved. Our @jamalbryantpodcast podcast’s mission is to foster authentic and constructive conversations with thought leaders, and this episode was no exception."

Jamal Bryant wrote that the episodes of the podcast are never edited since it is a "live to tape production", adding that they aim to be "earnest and transparent" every time. He ended by saying:

"Though private agreements have now been brought into the public eye, I refuse to be embroiled in a battle that demeans our community and all that I stand for. I love my brother unconditionally and I stand on my agreed promise. Grace and peace to you all!"

Meanwhile, Ray J had posted another clip through his Instagram Story after the video of him threatening Bryant started trending on different platforms. Ray said in the video that someone allegedly tried to shoot and kill him. However, further updates on the same are currently awaited.
