Charli XCX's Guess remix video was directed by Aidan Zamiri. It features Charli singing the lyrics of the popular track at a party while everyone throws their undergarments up in the air.
Eilish's cameo featured the singer making a grand entry in a tractor while lending her voice to her lines. The duo together drive around a street full of undergarments in the video.
Charli XCX teased her collaboration with Billie Eilish in Guess remix video on Instagram
On July 31, Charli XCX shared a mysterious image of herself with her collaborator in the Guess remix video, without revealing Billie Eilish's identity on her Instagram. The singer shared a black-and-white snap of them together, with the caption "Guess?".
While some fans remained confused, other netizens guessed that the collaborator was Billie Eilish because of the rings she was wearing on her fingers in the image. As per several reports, Eilish was wearing the same rings in her recent Chicken Shop interview with Amelia Dimoldenberg.
Billie's brother and collaborator, Finneas O'Connell, confirmed the collaboration on August 1. He reposted the remix's video teaser from Charli XCX's Instagram on his story and wrote:
"This was like, too much fun to make.”
According to Variety, Billie and Finneas hinted at the singer's upcoming collaboration with Charli XCX in a recent interview with Zane Lowe. Eilish said that she was "nervous" about working with another artist after a long time as she hadn't worked with anyone but her brother for years. She added:
“I was really nervous, because I haven’t worked with anyone but Finneas in six years, and I hated it back in the day.”
Finneas O'Connell shared further details about how the collaboration happened, allegedly talking about Charli XCX. He said:
"Billie was sitting and telling me why she loved this one artist, and we were watching their music videos together and I know them, and I was texting them like, ‘We’re sitting here watching your stuff, it’s so good.’ They were like, ‘I’m in L.A.’ I was like, ‘You want to do a day?'”
Hours before releasing her Guess remix video, Charli XCX confirmed her collaboration with a video teaser mentioning Eilish. The short clip featured Charli calling out to the singer with "Hey Billie, you there?" and it ended with a shot of them lying down on a pile of undergarments together.
As per Billboard, all bras and underwear used in the Guess music video were donated to an organization called I Support The Girls. The organization collects and distributes essential items of women's hygiene, such as menstrual pads, bras, and undergarments to the homeless and the needy.
Charli XCX's sixth studio album, Brat, has been immensely successful among the audience and has become a cultural phenomenon. The lime green aesthetic and the theme of the album have resonated with the masses.
