Oasis recently warned people not to resell tickets to their comeback tour at higher prices on websites that are not linked to their promoter.

On Friday evening (August 30), a limited number of fans got hold of the first batch of tickets during the pre-sale. Shortly after, tickets started getting listed online for over £6,000, which costs more than 40 times its face value, as per BBC report. After this, Oasis released a statement via X early on August 31 to address the matter.

Per their post, the rock band said that they noticed the tickets of Oasis Live '25' being resold at higher values on secondary markets. They issued a warning against this practice, saying:

"We have noticed people attempting to sell tickets on the secondary market since the start of the pre-sale. Please note, tickets can ONLY be resold, at face value, via Ticketmaster and Twickets. Tickets sold in breach of the terms and conditions will be canceled by the promoters."

Meanwhile, fans took to X to acknowledge that Oasis spoke up about the issue with scalpers for their reunion tour tickets.

"This is what 'we' the fans want to hear. Bravo for speaking out so soon," a fan on X commented.

More netizens appreciated the band for speaking out about reselling tickets at inflated prices and hoped that more artists would follow suit.

"You deffo need to clamp down on this, people buying up tickets just to sell them on for massive profits just takes the opportunity for true fans away and puts money in d**kheads pockets," an X user said.
"It would be great if more AAA artists would speak up, pref. take action, to prevent scalping for tickets. @onopenxyz technology to prevent scalping is already successfully applied in the Netherlands (GUTS Tuckets, but all major artists!!), UK (Ontapp), and US (DeFy Tickets)," another fan on X mentioned.

Many other fans took to social media to share their support about the pre-sale tickets relisted at higher prices getting canceled, so the real fans could have their chance to buy one and go to the concert.

"Why don't the promoters just cancel the tickets that are being sold on these websites? Then put them back on the market for the real fans to buy," an X user commented.
"I really hope this is true and these tickets will be canceled and re-sold at face value. The secondary market for tickets should be banned," another one chimed in.
"Greedy b**tards, trying to rip genuine fans off. Hope they get the tickets canceled and the real fans pick them up. I have mine, going to Wembley and Edinburgh," a fan on X said.

General sale of Oasis tickets starts on Saturday, August 31

Following weeks of speculation, Oasis announced their reunion along with a series of shows across the UK in 2025. Their announcement came just before the rock band hit the 30th anniversary of their Definitely Maybe album and about 15 years since they performed onstage.

As part of their reunion 2025 tour titled Oasis Live '25', Noel and Liam Gallagher will play five concerts at Wembley, another five in Manchester, and several other shows in Scotland, Ireland, and Wales between July and August next year.

Besides the reunion news, they brought fans to a frenzy during the 3-hour pre-sale on Friday evening. The general sale of Oasis tickets will start on Saturday, August 31, with tickets for Dublin shows available as early as 8 am IST and UK dates starting at 9 am BST.
