Soulja Boy took to X on September 24, 2024 to claim that he has a story to tell about Sean “Diddy” Combs and his former girlfriend Cassie Ventura. This comes after 'Puff Daddy' was held without bail on September 16 in Brooklyn. Netizens have since taken to the internet to react to Soulja supposedly having information about Combs that people are unaware of.

In his tweet, Soulja Boy, whose real name is DeAndre Cortez Way, said:

“I got a good story about one time I was chillin with Cassie & Diddy. Should I tell it? that n**ga said some crazy s**t.”

At the time of writing this article, the tweet had amassed over 250,000 views.

This is the first time Soulja Boy has claimed to have ties to Combs. According to Page Six, a list of celebrities who reportedly partied with Diddy in his supposed “freak offs” made it online. The list allegedly included Paris Hilton, Kim Kardashian, Howard Stern, Jay-Z, Mariah Carey, Nick Cannon, Beyonce, Aretha Franklin, and Martha Stewart, among others. However, Soulja Boy’s name was never mentioned.

Many believed the Kiss Me Thru the Phone crooner was attempting to involve himself in the Diddy scandal solely to gain online clout. The latter has been making headlines repeatedly as he faces racketeering and s*x trafficking charges amidst a federal investigation. One netizen commented:

Several others expressed similar sentiments, with many criticizing Soulja Boy online.

“Since you not relevant musically anymore, you just look for clout anywhere,” an X user said.
“Click bait once again Look at me look at me,” another netizen said.
“Why didn’t you speak up before he got arrested,” another platform user commented.

Many users suggested him to stay quiet and accusing him of hypocrisy.

“Keep it to yourself just like how you’ve been the whole time a*s-hole,” an X user said.
“Go lay down,” another netizen said.
“Man STFU. You have skeletons in your closet as well. Goofy a*s,” another user commented.

Meanwhile, some netizens encouraged Soulja to share his story with followers.

“Might as well spill the tea,” an X user said.
“Tell it big Soulja,” another netizen said.
“Waiting to hear,” a user commented.

“I would have killed his b**ch a*s”- Soulja Boy dissed Diddy

On September 22, Soulja Boy took to X to state that if the Bad Boy mogul attempted to lure him into his “Freak Offs” sessions, he would handle it with violence. He tweeted:

“If Diddy ever tried me like any of these gay rappers I would have killed his b***h a*s.”

However, the duo seemingly had a good relationship in the past. Soulja appeared in an Instagram live in 2022 to praise the rapper and claimed he was working on a project on Combs’ Revolt TV. Soulja’s show, titled The Life of Draco, then aired for a single season, with the rapper once saying:

“My new TV show coming out January 21 with Revolt TV, shout-out to P.Diddy.”

As per The New York Times, Combs’ 14-page indictment was released on September 17 with revelations of his criminal charges, including racketeering conspiracy, s*x trafficking by force, fraud or coercion, and transportation to engage in prostitution.

According to Forbes, Combs' attorneys initially requested bail on September 17, but it was denied. The rapper's legal team appealed the bail denial the next day, which was again turned down by the judge.
