DJ Mustard took to X on August 3, 2024, to deliver scathing tweets against DJ Akademiks and Drake. This comes after the release of his Faith Of A Mustard Seed album, which seems to have not garnered as many streams as he expected them to. Netizens have since taken to the internet to troll the hip-hop artist.

On August 2, 2024, DJ Akademiks took to X to reveal that DJ Mustard’s latest album only boasted 18,000 sales in the first week of its release. In response to the same, the latter claimed that “album sales are a form of white supremacy you n------ racist.”

DJ Mustard, whose real name is Dijon Isaiah McFarlane, addressed Drake by calling him the “Malcolm x of white people.” He also said,

“Akademiks make sure you post @GordoSZN first week since drake thought he did a thing with making him drop on the same day as me”

Mustard was referring to Gordo’s latest Diamante album, which featured Drake on the Sideways and Healing.

Mustard then called “drake bots” the “Nation of drizzlam.”

At the time of writing this article, DJ Mustard’s tweets had amassed millions of views.

Some netizens could not believe that the musician posted several tweets to defend his low album sales. Some reactions to DJ Akademiks' Instagram post about the tweets said,

Everything to know about DJ Mustard’s Faith Of A Mustard Seed album

DJ Mustard released his Faith Of A Mustard Seed album on July 26, 2024, along with 10 Summers Records and Interscope Records. This would be the music producer’s fourth album after the success of his Perfect Ten LP.

The album featured multiple artists, including Kodak Black, Future, Vince Staples, Charlie Wilson, Young Thug, and Ty Dolla $ign, among others.

The album blended his signature West Coast sound with gospel influences. Some songs from the album include Show Me the Way, Up Now, Pressured Up, Parking Lot, and A Song for Mom, among others.

While introducing the album in a teaser, Mustard included a preacher in the video who explained,

“You're going to come up against obstacles in life that are so firmly rooted, like the sycamore tree, that if you don't have faith, you walk away, and change your course because you don't think you can do it. But Christ is saying to you, stop that kind of cheap talk. It's unworthy of you to think that there is any obstacle in your life that you can't move.”

The album is available on all music streaming platforms.
