Bruno Mars abruptly stopped his show at the Intuit Dome on August 15 to call for security to address a situation in the first row of the concert.
As per a video shared online by X account @chrissgardner, Bruno Mars had to rush through one section as the security took a beat and he was forced to say it again. The video also features a few security guards carrying a distressed-looking man away from the seats.
Bruno Mars performed at the $2 billion Intuit Dome on the day of its official inauguration. The stadium is set to be the new home for the NBA's Los Angeles Clippers. During the performance, Lady Gaga made a surprising appearance alongside Bruno Mars, confirming that a collaboration between them is finally on the way.
The Intuit Dome venue has been in the making for years. The venue includes 26 acres of land and 18,000 seats in Inglewood. The construction of the venue began in September 2021 at the corner of Century Boulevard and Prairie Avenue, located south of SoFi Stadium and the Kia Forum.
Fans faced technical issues while entering Bruno Mars's concert at Intuit Dome
On August 15, Bruno Mars was supposed to begin his performance at 8 pm. However, the show began two hours later, at 10 pm, after some technical problems led to a delay.
As per ABC, the delay was caused by a problem with the facial recognition system at the venue, leading thousands of people to wait outside for it to be resolved. The performance finally began two hours later, with Lady Gaga joining the star on stage to announce and perform their latest collaboration track, Die With a Smile.
As reported by DT Weekly, published on August 15, 2024, Inglewood mayor James Butt spoke about the new stadium and said:
"We're now a center for social excellence, economic resurgence and great diversity in our population. But now, we will have the newest, grandest stadium in the world, SoFi, and the newest, grandest arena in the world - the Intuit Dome. There are no words."
According to Clippers owner Steve Ballmer, the Intuit Dome would be at the zenith of technological progress and feature a state-of-the-art Halo Board that encircles the entire arena. It also features several t-shirt cannons, and that will give everyone in the audience a chance to have a t-shirt for themselves.
More about Intuit Dome
The Intuit Dome features almost 86,000 square feet of training, medical, and player spaces and includes places like an indoor pool, bars, restaurants, and a store that sells team merchandise. The entire area features five basketball courts, one promotional court, two practice courts, and one other court situated in the practice plaza.
It also features 'The Wall,' which is a 51-row section that will allow only the Clippers fans to enter through strict regulations placed on wearing only the home team jerseys and restrictions on ticket resale.
People buying tickets to enter the arena would have to download the specially-made Intuit Dome app, create an account, and set up their Game Face ID. This allows them to walk into the arena without even showing their tickets to the security personnel. Alternatively, they can also use an Identity Pass on their smartphone to enter the arena.
Finally, the Intuit Dome Arena is a totally cashless zone. Fans need to select and upload a payment method in their app to make purchases inside the arena.
Future notable acts in the arena include performances by comedian Sebastian Maniscalco, Mexican icon Marco Antonio Stolis, and pop icon Olivia Rodrigo. Additionally, the venue has already been selected to host the 2026 NBA All-Star game and will also be the official basketball venue for the 2028 Summer Olympics.
