Jennifer Lopez was "heartsick and devastated" at canceling her US tour

On May 31, 2024, Live Nation announced Jennifer Lopez's 'This Is Me... Live' tour in North America was canceled, adding the singer was "taking time off to be with her children, family and close friends."

The tour was to begin in Orlando on June 26, with the last show in New York on August 17. Jennifer Lopez also released a statement via an email newsletter, adding that she was "heartsick and devastated" at canceling her tour.

“I am completely heartsick and devastated about letting you down. Please know that I wouldn’t do this if I didn’t feel that it was absolutely necessary. I promise I will make it up to you and we will all be together again. I love you all so much. Until next time …”

'This Is Me... Live' tour accompanied Jennifer Lopez's 9th studio album This Is Me...Now, her first album in a decade following her 2014 album A.K.A. The new album was a sequel to her highly successful third studio album This Is Me... Then, released in November 2002. Jennifer Lopez also released an hour-long musical film titled This Is Me... Now: A Love Story, on the same day as her 9th studio album.

Many speculated that the 'This Is Me... Live' tour was canceled because of poor ticket sales. Another rumored reason for the concert's cancelation included her relationship with her husband Ben Affleck, which many claimed was headed toward divorce. However, both Lopez and Affleck have not addressed these rumors.

Lopez and Affleck dated for a couple of years in the early 2000s, splitting up in 2004. The couple rekindled their relationship in 2021 and tied the knot on July 16, 2022.
