Madame Tussauds Las Vegas recently showed Post Malone his wax figure. The Sunflower singer, who was in New York City at the time for his headline performance at the Governors Ball Music Festival 2024 on Friday, June 7, 2024, was pleasantly surprised and exclaimed,
"Are you f*cking kidding me? I thought that was a person. Is it real hair, whose hair is it, mine? Thanks for the help down there as well, I appreciate it. Can this do my shows for me? I'd love to catch up on sleep."
The sculpture is dressed in an all-black outfit, which includes a Tom Ford seude jacket, a turtleneck jumper, jeans, and cowboy boots with a crystal studded belt and Chrome Hearts hoop earrings. The whole ensemble was donated by the singer himself and replicated the outfit he wore during his Saturday Night Live debut in May 2022.
"I think she’ll want it" — Post Malone said of what his mother would think of the wax sculpture
The wax sculpture has an uncanny resemblance to the nine-time diamond certified singer, right down to Malone's facial tattoos, black nail polish, and hair on his mole (as Posty himself pointed out). It even features the Rockstar crooner holding his signature beer-filled red cup.
Per the Madame Tussauds website, Post Malone was so impressed with his wax twin that he first thought it was a real person and even wondered if the museum used his real hair. When questioned about what his mother would think of the sculpture, the singer replied,
"I think she’ll want it."
When she got a chance to actually see the sculpture, she was shocked and stated, "It's awesome!"
Per the Wax Museum, Post Malone's figurine is set to debut at its Las Vegas location on June 17, 2024. It would be part of an interactive experience, and museum-goers would be able to challenge his wax double to a game of neon beer pong.
Per ET, in a press release, Marketing Manager at Madame Tussauds Las Vegas, Linsey Stiglic, stated:
"Post Malone's impact on music and pop culture is undeniable, and we're thrilled to bring his dynamic persona to Madame Tussauds Las Vegas. (He) is having quite the year for iconic collabs - Beyoncé, Taylor Swift and Morgan Wallen, to name a few. We're proud to have worked with the multi-genre artist on his incredible new wax figure."
The wax figure's reveal comes a handful of days after Malone and Blake Shelton's surprise performance of their new single, Somebody Pour Me a Drink, at the CMA Fest. This marked the release of the song that the pair have been teasing since May 23, 2024. The track is expected to be part of his upcoming country-themed album.
