Latto is named "Trapper of the Year" by T.I and his Trap Music Museum on August 29. The singer received the accolade at a private event on August 29 at the Trap Music Museum. The event showcased DJs, Latto-inspired Karaoke, Latto exhibit and the rapper receiving the Trapper of the Year ring.
Other artists that were honored Trapper of the Year before her include Future (2022 and 2023), Moneybaggyo (2021), Lil Baby (2020) and others.
However, after The Shade Room posted news of the event on Instagram, many netizens disagreed and questioned if the rapper was deserving of the title.

While some users claimed that the singer doesn't deserve the title, others argued that the rapper deserves the award after her recent album Sugar Honey Iced Tea's release.
Latto wins "Trapper of the Year" Award
Latto won the "Trapper of the Year Award" at an Atlanta event on August 29. By winning this award, the singer joins the likes of other celebrated Atlanta and South icons which have been acknowledged by the museum.

The singer has been celebrating a lucky week on Music charts as her new album Sugar Honey Iced Tea debuted at No.1 on Billboard's Top Rap Albums chart on August 24. One week into the album's initial release on August 9, streaming activity contributed to 27,000 units, and registered the second-best streaming count among rap albums for the week as per Billboard.
The album stands at No.2 on Top R&B/Hip-Hop Albums and No. 15 on the all-genre Billboard 200. The singer is also scheduled to go on the Sugar Honey Iced Tea tour on from October 25, 2024, to December 7, 2024, from venues across mainland United States to Canada. The tour will also see collaborations with Mariah the Scientist and Karrahbooo.
