Cara Delevingne met and took a picture with Bruce Springsteen at the Glastonbury Music Festival two years ago, but she had no idea who he was, leaving her girlfriend Leah Mason, better known by her pseudonym Minke, horrified.
In an interview with The Sunday Time, published on Sunday, July 7, the model-turned-actress got candid about getting some music education from her girlfriend. She said:
"We teach each other so many things. Two years ago, we were backstage at Glastonbury and we took a photo with this guy. I said to Leah afterward, 'Who was that?'"
The guy in question turned out to be the Dancing in the Dark hitmaker Bruce Springsteen who went on stage with Paul McCartney to sing I Wanna Be Your Man and Glory Days during the former Beatles's headlining set at the 2022 Glastonbury Festival.
Cara Delevingne described Minke's reaction to her not knowing who the singer was at the time, saying:
"She was like, 'What? That was Bruce Springsteen!' I had no idea what he looked like. She thinks that's blasphemy."
Cara Delevingne enjoys going to concerts with Minke
Despite her previous blunder at the Glastonbury Festival, Cara Delevingne mentioned during her latest interview that one of the things she and Minke enjoy doing together is watching live music. However, the actress noted that their taste in music couldn't be more different, saying:
"Leah likes old rock, Fleetwood Mac, whereas I like R&B and old-school hip-hop, like the Notorious BIG."
She also gave some insights on her current musical favorites, adding:
"[And] I love the wave of lesbians in music now, like Chappell Roan and Renee Rapp."
Delevigne went on to share some of the concerts she and Minke are planning to attend in the future. She noted that Taylor Swift's concert will be one of those, and it wouldn't be the first time she will be spotted at her close pal's Eras Tour.
Naming other musicians whose concerts they are planning to go to include Girls Aloud, Stevie Nicks, Troye Sivan, and Robbie Williams.
Elsewhere in the interview, the Only Murders in the Building star also talked about her journey getting sober. It came after she saw the paparazzi pictures of herself acting erratically while at the LA airport shortly after the Burning Man festival circulated on the internet.
She said:
"I used to think drugs and alcohol helped me cope... but they didn't, they kept me sad and super depressed."
Since getting sober, Cara Delevingne admitted that she now feels like she's "got my power back" and isn't controlled by other things anymore. She's been busy with several projects, including the West End production of Cabaret in London, where she played Sally Bowles.
