Cardi B's fans have been eagerly waiting for the release of her second album after a long wait of almost six years. While the title is not confirmed yet, Atlantic Records posted a tweet on May 16, 2024, with a link to an article by Rolling Stone that referred to Cardi as the cover star for next month.

The post has grabbed a lot of attention since the record label jokingly wrote that they are releasing the project.

"Cardi B's upcoming album is one of the most anticipated this year. We can't wait to put it out, even if we have to sneak into her studio and take it!," the tweet also stated.

Notably, on May 14, the singer had stated in a reply on X that she wouldn't release the new album this year. The New York City native even revealed the reason by saying that her interaction with fans has always brought more problems and wrote:

"Anyway no album this year I don't care I'm relaxing this year..Dropping these features I already committed to and traveling and enjoying my summer."

Cardi B refused to release her album due to an argument with a fan: Tweets and other details explored

Although the rapper has not released a new album since 2018, she has continued to release a few songs that have received positive feedback. Cardi confirmed in an interview with 360 With Speedy two months ago that the album would arrive sometime this year.

However, she ended up getting in some trouble due to a fan with the username @Tyyrrell on X, who mentioned a few statements by the artist expressing her excitement for the upcoming album. Cardi B then responded in a now-deleted tweet and wrote:

"No it's just annoying this means a lot to me and it's always a complain and crying wit this p*ssy a*s fanbase."

The argument continued, and Cardi expressed her frustration by writing that people had trouble when she was releasing her music projects. The fan even wrote that the rapper has a problem when someone honestly shares their opinion, and the latter said in another reply:

"Girl shut up you not here for nobody but to boost your ego cause in real life you overlooked. Who you here for? For me? You the same b*tch that complains for every single thing I do each thing So you can't be here for me but your own ego. You can't gaslight me."

In between all these, another fan named Pink intervened, saying that Cardi B should maintain a distance from social media. The tweet continued:

"Transparency backfires because of her fans weirdo entitlement. Cardi doesn't have to interact with them, she chooses to and it's never good enough for them."

Cardi B's second album is confirmed to arrive this year

In her cover story for Rolling Stone, Cardi B said that her new album was making progress. Although her tweet stated that she was not planning to release the project, according to Vulture, the rapper’s publicist confirmed to Rolling Stone that Cardi's album is coming in 2024.

Cardi once addressed the album in an interview with Mariah Carey in 2021, saying that she was being forced to release the project as soon as possible. She added:

"I do have a song like "Be Careful", but I think it's more personal. People were saying, "You need to be softer. You need to talk more about yourself." And I was telling them that it's really hard for me to do love records and express myself like that because I never do that."

She even spoke up about the fear she had about the upcoming album. She stated that fans have a lot of expectations when it comes to a new project, and a situation arises where it feels like people want to see someone fail. As mentioned earlier, the title of the album has not been confirmed until now.
