Rapper Cardi B defended her estranged husband Offset when fans alleged that he called Child Protection Services to pull a prank on the rapper. Fans presumably theorized it after Cardi spoke up about CPS paying a visit to her house a day before, after receiving an alleged prank call from someone.
During an Instagram Live on Monday, October 21, Cardi B issued a warning to her followers, claiming that someone had allegedly prank-called Child Protective Services about her children. The CPS reportedly visited the rapper's house that night. The rapper went on to issue a public warning claiming she'd get to the bottom of the matter.
On October 22, some fans on X alleged that it was Offset who allegedly prank-called CPS a day before, to get behind Cardi. To the surprise of her fans, Cardi B defended her estranged husband despite name-calling him on the platform at the same time. Rejecting her fans' theories, Cardi wrote:
"That’s not wat happened that got nothing do wit him. He a loser but he didn’t do that…It was a prank call he had to fly out and I couldn’t be there cause I’m hospitalized."
The rapper has deleted the tweets as of writing. In an earlier deleted tweet, the WAP rapper had wished the "worst" on Offset, writing:
"Bro I wish the worst on this man. I never hated somebody soooo much and these b***hes be so [thirsty] to have him."
Offset and Cardi announced their latest separation in July 2024, days before the latter revealed that she was expecting her third child with her husband. The former couple share 3 children, a 6-year-old daughter Kulture, a 3-year-old son Wave, and a newborn daughter.
Cardi B warns pranksters over alleged phone call to Child Protection Services
In an Instagram Live on October 21, Cardi B slammed alleged pranksters for reportedly calling Child Protection Services about her 3 children. The rapper claimed that CPS officials paid a visit to her house after receiving an alleged prank call from an anonymous entity/entities. She said:
"So I wanna make this very f**king clear and I can’t even breathe right now. Motherf**kers have taken s**t too f**king far when you mess with my f**king kids. For the Child Protective Services to come to my house? Not my house, my gated mansion at 11 p.m. while my children are sleeping. Are you f**king dumb?”
The rapper further claimed that she had been at the hospital for 2 days since October 19 due to illness. She issued a warning to her followers, claiming she would find out who was behind the alleged call and take them behind bars. She added:
“I’m gonna hire the best private investigator in the whole f**king country because y’all take joking and y’all take s**t a little too far.”
The next day, many fans on X claimed Offset allegedly called Child Protection Services to put Cardi into trouble. However, the Bodak Yellow rapper denied such allegations and answered many of her fans, confirming it was not him. In response to one of them, the rapper also claimed CPS representatives received the alleged prank call about both of them as parents.
Cardi B slams estranged husband Offset in a series of posts on X
In a series of now-deleted posts on X, dated October 22, Cardi B wished the "worst" on Offset and name-called him as "garbage". She further wrote:
"Please take this man off my hands this garbage bag is to heavy."
One X user implored her to talk positively about the father of her children. In response she called Offset a "dirty a*s narcissistic piece of s**t", claiming "his family and his friends never check him." Although she said she did not wish "death" on her estranged husband, she later wished he could get hit by a truck.
"I wan him to get hit by a f**kin truck,. He really is just a dark cloud on anybody life he enters," Cardi wrote.
Offset and Cardi B reportedly began dating in 2017. The couple confirmed their marriage in 2018. The couple have separated and got back together multiple times in the course of their relationship. The WAP rapper filed for divorce from Offset in July 2024, days before announcing she was expecting her third child with her husband.
