Netizens have reacted to Kesha sharing a throwback video on Instagram to commemorate the 15th anniversary of her debut album, Animal. In the post's caption, the songstress provided an insight into the making of the 2010 LP that catapulted her to stardom.

Released in January 2010 by Sony Music and RCA Records, Animal featured iconic Kesha tracks like Your Love Is My Drug, Tik Tok, Blah Blah Blah, and Party at a Rich Dude's House. It was certified 4x Platinum by the Recording Industry Association of America, with over eight million units sold worldwide. Animal also attained chart success, debuting at the summit of the Billboard 200.

In the caption, the Stephen songstress thanked her childhood for shaping the experiences that eventually inspired the creation of Animal. She also heaped praise on her mother Pebe Sebert, who is best known for co-writing Dolly Parton's 1980 track Old Flames Can't Hold a Candle to You.

"I spent my whole life learning the art of songwriting from my mom, an iconic songwriter herself, so when Animal came out, it was a culmination of the sounds of growing up, the sounds of falling in love, heartbreak, the sounds of coming of age, and I had no idea what these songs would open up for me and what kind of life I would be creating for myself just by putting these songs out in the world," she wrote in the caption.

In the accompanying video, a young Kesha is asked about her reaction to the reception received by Animal. With a face covered in glitter, she says:

“The only reason I made this record is to make kids have fun and have dance parties and inspire people to just be happy."

The then-22-year-old songstress continues:

"This whole is just kind of a very youthful, irreverent record. And I want it to be one of those records that you just put on and no matter what you’re doing or where you are it makes you happy.”

Fans have waxed lyrical about the 37-year-old in the comment section of her Instagram post. Some popular reactions on Instagram are as follows:
