Chester Bennington's son, Jamie, revealed that he's been getting death threats from fans after he criticized the new, and reportedly controversial, Linkin Park lead singer, Emily Armstrong.
In a series of videos via his Instagram Stories on Monday, September 9, Jamie opened up about Linkin Park fans threatening him with assault. He addressed those fans in one of the clips, saying:
"You're coming over to my posts and my livestreams and telling me to k*ll myself, that I'm awful, that my father doesn't appreciate me. What are you talking about?"
Jamie further detailed the threats he's received from fans after he criticized Linkin Park's new lead singer. He said that someone reached out to him on social media to say that they would "hunt" him down at the concert and "beat the living sh*t" out of him.
In one of his Stories, he also shared screenshots of the said person's messages saying that he and his "boys" had already dropped "4k" to beat him up.
With the threats from fans and people saying "some really awful sh*t," Chester Bennington's son admitted that he doesn't feel safe. He also shared wanting to get some "closure" by attending the Linkin Park concert reunion on Wednesday, September 11.
However, it comes with another set of concerns for his safety. The younger Bennington expressed his concern about being surrounded by fans in the concert, who he said had been "cruel, unusual, and aggressive."
Chester Bennington's son warns that if something happens to him, it's on Linkin Park
Elsewhere in his videos, Chester Bennington's son reiterated his safety concerns about going to the Linkin Park concert. More specifically, Jamie Bennington said that he doesn't feel safe being surrounded by the band's fans and warned that it will be on Linkin Park if anything happens to him while at the concert. He said:
"If anything happens to me or my partner while we are attending this concert, it is on Linkin Park."
Chester Bennington's son also claimed that he doesn't "feel safe going to the show under general admission." It's because he doesn't know who he's going to be around. He further claimed that there are a lot of people who don't like him and would recognize him. Those people could "respond to [him] in an aggressive manner," he said.

With Jamie still keen on attending the band's show, he addressed the fans in one of his videos. He "respectfully" asked them to "please do not harass" him and his partner while attending the show as they are only "attending for closure."
Jamie Bennington's issue with Linkin Park fans was ignited after he criticized Emily Armstrong and targeted band member Mike Shinoda. Chester Bennington's son claimed that Shinoda "quietly erased" his father's life and legacy "in real time." He also expressed his disappointment about the band member allegedly betraying the "trust" he loaned him.
A lot of people didn't take Linkin Park's decision to have Emily Armstrong as the new lead singer well. That included Jamie, who spoke about Amrstrong's past in his September 9 Instagram Story. He questioned Armstrong's ties with Scientology and her support for Danny Masterson during his trial.
