Rapper Chief Keef came into the political limelight amid the United States presidential race after posting a tweet supporting Donald Trump on his X account on July 30. The tweet had a photo of himself on a podium and the caption "Trump 2024."
The rapper posted an Instagram Story hours later claiming that his X account was hacked. Although the story was posted after the politically surcharged tweet, he didn't mention whether the hackers tweeted that statement from his account.
"Twitter is hacked: Management," wrote Keef in his Instagram story.
Chief Keef's comments follow a very happening month in the United States Presidential Election race. Less than a month ago, Donald Trump was shot at during a public meeting on July 14. On the other hand, Joe Biden officially withdrew his nomination for the upcoming elections and chose to back the current Vice President Kamala Harris.
Chief Keef talked about Donald Trump when he was arrested back in 2023
Chief Keef claimed that Donald Trump would do well in prison when his mugshot was revealed in August 2023 following his arrest at Fulton County Jail in Georgia. The former US President was arrested on counts of several RICO charges and an alleged attempt to disrupt the results of the 2020 Presidential elections. Keef posted that image on his Instagram story and wrote:
"Nah my boy in dat b**ch bangin on dem folks. I know whatever deck he on he good in the hood for sure he finna run the prison. That boy finna be eating like a MF all da Blacks finna have my boy back."
However, his opinion was not quite the same when he spoke about Donald Trump in 2018. On being asked by Complex about his opinion on Kanye West openly endorsing Donald Trump, he replied:
"I don’t understand that connection, but Kanye does what he wants."
In fact, Chief Keef has also been close to another Donald Trump supporter over the years, i.e., Sexyy Red. Red has openly supported the former United States President and talked about her political opinions in an appearance on The Weekend podcast. She revealed that she missed Trump as the President and commented that the stimulus checks out.
Sexyy Red also revealed that she and Chief Keef have been working on a new album in an interview with Viper Magazine two weeks back. This will come after previous hit collaborations of the two, like Grape Trees, Damn Shorty, and Bow Bow Bow.
"We dropping an album soon. We’ve been working," said Sexyy Red when asked by Viper Magazine.
It remains to be seen whether the pro-Trump tweet came from Keef himself or was posted by the hacker who allegedly hacked into his account.
