"Could be a cat scratch" — Internet divided over an apparent burn mark on Taylor Swift's arm in photos with Travis Kelce

Taylor Swift and her boyfriend Travis Kelce were seen out and about on October 11, 2024, in New York. While the glimpses of their outing went viral across social media, some netizens expressed concern after they noticed a supposed burn mark or a cut on Swift's arm, leading to a discussion about what happened to her.

A zoomed-in shot of the burn mark was shared on X by a Taylor Swift fan account. The caption of the post read:

"Taylor, girly, this burn is insane. Please be careful."

An X user speculated that the mark could be "a cat scratch", which is not unlikely since Taylor has three cats.

Many people shared that they have similar marks on their arms that were caused by doing "normal people activities".

"Burned my arm in same spot when taking pan out of oven and arm touched open oven door," an X wrote.

"My only contribution is i have a similar burn mark in a similar position i got it from a clothing iron cus i moved my hand and arm at the wrong time when ironing a shirt," shared another one.

"I have the same burn scar as t swift and she most likely got it doing normal ppl activities instead of making a maid or dry cleaner do it," an X user remarked.

A few people also requested others to respect Swift's privacy and not hyperfocus on her looks.

On Friday, Swift and Kelce were seen on a date at the Torrisi restaurant in New York. They were also joined by Blake Lively and Ryan Reynolds.

Taylor Swift wore Annie’s Ibiza corset top and a matching chartreuse-colored mini skirt. She completed the look with a Versace Medusa Buckle platform mules and a Roberto Cavalli monogram shoulder bag. While her outfit was worth $795, the bag was priced at $1,083, as per People magazine.

Apart from this, Taylor Swift also added a gold necklace by Tilly Sveaas T Bar and a Vivienne Westwood Messaline crystal choker with a gold pendant.

On the other hand, American football star Travis Kelce opted for a blue polo shirt from Marni and camel-colored cargo pants, completing the look with white sneakers.

Swift and Kelce reportedly began dating around September last year. The latter revealed on The Pat McAfee Show that he saw Swift "rock the stage" when she performed at the Arrowhead Stadium as part of her ongoing Eras Tour.

Since last year, Swift and Kelce have been spotted together in several public and private outings such as Coachella and men's singles final match at the US Open.
