Hours before Samuels shared the video from his party, his ex-wife, Erica Mena, called him out for allegedly not taking care of their children. She also claimed that he goes months at a stretch without seeing the kids.

Samuels and Mena have two children: Safire Majesty Samuels, 4, and Legend Brian Samuels, 3.

Erica Mena accuses Safaree Samuels of not taking care of his children

On Wednesday, July 10, Erica Mena took to her Instagram stories to accuse Samuels of neglecting his children and not taking enough care of them. She alleged that Samuels does not come to see his children, Legend and Safire, despite living only thirty minutes away.

“You already go months at a time in not seeing these babies by choice, you went two months this last go round. You finally pop out at Legend’s bday — empty-handed and NEVER offering to pay half for anything like always. You came for your quick once every few months photo opportunity with them and bounced," she wrote.

According to Erica Mena, her children last spent time with Safaree Samuels on July 7 last week. She claimed in her post that her son Legend's hair was not taken care of properly as his braids "clearly needed to be taken out" after the kids allegedly spent time in a chlorinated swimming pool.

Mena also shared photos of Legend's hair to support her claims. She mentioned that she had assumed things would be taken care of as their "grandma and auntie" were in town, but nobody took out Legend's braids or "washed his hair."

“You got all this money so you tell the world and you got all these diamonds but yet why is it when you have your kids they walking around looking like this? Did grandma and auntie not feel the need to grab a comb for you babies Sis?”

Erica Mena also accused Safaree Samuels of dressing the children in "sloppy and cheap" clothing. She claimed that Samuels does not pay for their school or healthcare or contributes to their birthdays. She also claimed that Samuels missed their daughter Safire's birthday and Christmas celebrations last time.

“Sis @safaree you have no problem making sure you a bad b***h all the time. Why can’t my babies be dressed and groomed properly like you do for you when you have them? A part of being a bad b***h is really taking care of your kids so this is where I draw the line…not grooming and properly dressing your kids every time you have them it’s honestly despicable,” she said.

In her final Instagram story, Erica Mena claimed that Samuels put them in a summer camp by Monday after deciding to babysit his children last Saturday. She detailed that she spends 2700 for their education every year and is particular about keeping her children's minds stimulated and them having a routine.

She accused Samuels of not seeing them again and mentioned that if the rapper wanted to take them somewhere, it should have been their school, which "he helped her pick" but "does not pay for."

Erica Mena and Samuels got married in 2019. In 2021, Mena filed for divorce, and they were officially out of their marriage in 2022.
