Dave Portnoy, Founder of Barstool Sports and a self-proclaimed Swiftie, took to X on April 19, 2024, to share his thoughts on the much anticipated Swift album, The Tortured Poets Department.

While celebrating Swift's thanK you alMee song, Dave Portnoy took a jab at Kim Kardashian since the song is allegedly about the Skims founder. In his tweet, he mentioned,

"#KIMKARDASHIAN GOT WRECKED"

Taylor and Kim's feud dates back to 2016 when Kim's then-husband Kanye West released Famous, including lyrics that claimed Kanye made the singer famous.

"I love Taylor," says Dave Portnoy while praising thank you aIMee

Being a proud Taylor Swift fan, Dave Portnoy has made his dislike towards the Skims founder evident through his recent tweets. Taylor Swift and Kim Kardashian's alleged feud spans years when Kim published an edited video of Taylor on Snapchat in 2016 approving the lyrics for Kanye's Famous. Referring to Taylor, Kanye sings,

"I feel like me and Taylor might still have s*x /Why?/ I made that b*tch famous."

In one of his tweets, Dave Portnoy highlighted thanK you alMee lyrics and alleged the bit to be directed at Kim's daughter, North West Kardashian,

"And one day, your kid comes home singin'/ A song that only us two is gonna know is about you."

To which Dave Portnoy said,

"I NEED TO SEE HER KID SINGING LYRIC (sic) ABOUT WHAT A DIRTBAG HER MOTHER IS."

He also praised Taylor's subtle way of allegedly emphasizing the feud by only capitalizing the letters KIM in the song's title,

"No defining clues besides capitalizing her name. I love Taylor."

Portnoy also commented on the song on Instagram, calling the song Taylor's "magnum opus" and calling Kardashian a "rat" and a "snake" in the video. He captioned the Instagram video with the caption,

"Bravo! Bravo! Bravo! Sing it Northwest! SING IT!!!!"

In the video, he can be seen saying,

"The swifties, we do not forgive, we do not forget, she writes a song, Taylor, Thank you Aimee, K - I - M, capitalized, that lyric, 'I can't wait to see your little singing the song, oh we know it is about me and you' Kim, I am not gonna be putting any defining clues, she capitalized K - I - M."

thanK you aIMee to be speculated about Kim Kardashian

Although Taylor Swift has yet to officially confirm that the alleged diss track is about Kim Kardashian, like Dave Portnoy, other fans have taken to social media to highlight lyrics that they think are a dig at Kardashian. When Swift sings about an old-school bully,

"There's a bronze spray-tanned statue of you. Stomp (ing) across my grave and (writing) headlines in the local pictures."

After Kanye West claimed he made Taylor famous with his song Famous in February 2016, Taylor's representative, in a statement, said Taylor "cautioned" (Kanye) about releasing a song with such a strong misogynistic message. Taylor was never made aware of the actual lyrics, "I made that b*t1ch famous."

Kim posted an edited video on Snapchat alleging Swift approved West's lyrics. In the video, Taylor is shown to call it a "compliment." However, after Kim's snaps went viral on social media, Taylor took to her social media pages and said,

"Where is the video of Kanye telling me he was going to call me 'that b*tch' in his song? It doesn't exist because it never happened. Being falsely painted as a liar when I was never given the full story or played any part of the song is character assassination."

She also added,

"I would very much like to be excluded from this narrative, one that I have never asked to be a part of since 2009."

Taylor Swift, in recent times, addressed her fallout with Kim and Kanye in a Time interview in December 2023 for the 2023 Person of the Year profile.

In the interview, she said her career was taken away from her, and also said,

"You have a fully manufactured frame job in an illegally recorded phone call, which Kim Kardashian edited and then put out to say to everyone that I was a liar."

She said the entire incident took her down psychologically, and she was afraid to get on phone calls.
